“Absolutely Wonderful Vacation”
The hotel is beautiful. We enjoyed our stay very much. We were in the Ocean Tower which is just about the furthest from the lobby and you have the train or boats to ride which can be slow, but we enjoyed walking because you would see the beautiful grounds, all the fish and the turtles along the walk. The dining facilities were fairly reasonable. If you were going to this hotel to be conservative with money for your meals, you may want to go somewhere else, but the hotel is not a cheap hotel in any way, therefore you do not mind spending the money to eat there as there are different choices with good food and beautiful scenery. I would recommend hotel to anyone who wants to stay in a very nice hotel and does not mind spending a little money to have a great time.
“Good family location”
Excellent place for family vacation. Would not recommend for older adults.
“The Hilton Waikoloa is the best resort.”
The Hilton Waikoloa Resort is the nicest resort I have ever been too. We went 10 years ago and again this year. The resort has maintained their facilities very well. The facility run smoothly and is clean and well maintained. The restaurants are very good. The rooms are great. We had 2 double beds in one room and I wish they had 2 queens instead. There is plenty of space in the room to fit 2 queen beds. The staff was attentive and responsive. We were very happy to participate in the variety of the activities they had there.
“good”
had a lovely holiday every think was nice staff was lovely but everythink close at 9/oclok there was a bar that stay opon till 11/oclok. but lot to do in the day. but over all the holiday was great. thanktou for your help in booking my holiday diane.
“wikoloa village”
It was such a great hotel. I could stay there and spend entire trip!!
“Hilton Waikoloa Village”
Although we had a fantastic time, prices were very expensive. A glass of wine was $14, which I thought was outrageous. Not much outside the resort so you tend to eat and drink there. The food was equally expensive too.
“Amazing Hotel”
This hotel is massive. The rooms were amazing and the hotel and associated property was stunning. There were a few negatives. Many of the restaurants were overpriced even by Hawaiian standards (I live on Oahu). Our room in the Palace Tower was about a 5 minute walk from the main part of the hotel. There was a tram and water taxi, but it was usually a 5 to 10 minute wait on the tram and even longer for the boat. There were a few bars in the hotel, but mist closed early. Everything else was truly amazing. An enoromous pool, beach area, etc and each hallway you went down was full of museum pieces such as paintings, statues, etc. Even with the negatives I listed, I would go back in a heartbeat.
“Pure awesomeness”
This resort is spectacular! This was my first time in Hawai'i and I truly enjoyed my stay while I attended a destination wedding.
“Perfect resort of a family vacation”
It has everything for everybody. There is a lagoon which is a fun place for snorkel and look for sea creatures.I like that towels were given freely to all guests (no need to sign vouchers), so that made it very convenient to check towels out. The resort is very long, so they have a train and a boat to get you from one end to another. The food at the resort is pricey, but you can walk to the local shopping center (about 20 min walk) for a cheaper alternative. The rooms were very comfortable. The frames of our door needed a paint job, but the rest of the room clean and comfortable.
“A great family vacation for lovers of water sports”
My teenage son and I had a wonderful four-night stay. We love swimming, and the Hilton has a lagoon with tropical fish and green turtles as well as swimming pools, water slides, and hot tubs. It's also only a lovely 10-minute oceanside walk to the sheltered beach in front of the nearby Marriott, where the snorkeling is very good. We took advantage of the daily free activities the resort offers, including ukelele and conch-blowing lessons, and enjoyed a round of glow-in-the-dark mini golf. The hotel rents snorkeling gear and boats for use in the lagoon (families might want to purchase one of the discount packages on offer - the costs can mount up). We ate most of our meals at the hotel, but there are also restaurants a shuttle-ride away (or 10-minute walk) at two nearby outdoor malls. We never used a car - our whale-watching tour picked us up from the hotel and there are taxis and shuttles for airport service - but there is a National Car Rental outlet at the resort for those who want to venture further afield.
