“Most Relaxing Vacation ever”
My husband and I went to the Hill Top Legacy for our 20th wedding anniversery and our first time to Hawaii. We had the most relaxing vacation ever. It is very quiet at the Hill Top Legacy except for the frogs at night which we loved, they are better then the crickets we are used to hearing they sang us right to sleep. Jade took very good care of us, upgrading us to the Sky room with a jacuzzi and kitchenette for our first 6 nights and on our final 2 nights we stayed in the Legacy suite with our own private balcony to sip coffee overlooking the beautiful garden. The location is perfect within blocks of great restaurants and historic downtown Hilo. We want to go back every year!

“Great place to relax, just like home”
This is a great place to relax - no fast-paced tourist trap. The B&B may not be for everyone - especially if you are looking for a large hotel experience. The rooms are like what you would expect when going to a friend's house. We had a great time exploring the island - the staff was helpful in pointing out sites to visit. There is a friendly horse on the property and the weather was just wonderful. If you really want to see the big island, spend a relaxing week at the Hill Top Legacy - we made friends that we look forward to seeing again the next time we visit Hawaii.
“a fine spot”
The hosts were very helpful and accommodating. The location is very good, with lovely views and a lush quiet surrounding. The lack of air conditioning could be a problem, but during our stay it was OK, and the fans cooled the room well enough. We would be happy to stay here again.
“Pleasant!”
I was traveling alone for the first time and was relieved from my first sight of the lovely landscaping. The B & B is high on a hill overlooking Hilo Bay. I was warmly greeted by the owner who did everything to put me at ease and show me all the amenities. The continental breakfast was lovely and I enjoyed visiting with the other guests. The owner was most gracious about attending to my needs, going the second mile.

My wife and I stayed here for three days with our three year old son. We were amazed with the view we had from our room of the Hilo skyline! I have watched many great sunsets, but here we were able to watch the sun rise! It was an unforgettable experience! The owners (father and son) are very friendly and hospitable. They opened their home to us and are very accommodating. The grounds are absolutely beautiful! It is in a rainforest setting with a Japanese style tea garden complete with a pond and many tropical fruit trees on the property. My son loved the horse and the two very friendly cats. We felt as if we could have stayed and enjoyed this place all day long. It is walking distance from downtown and the views are stunning. The room, though, is in need of some minor upgrades. The bathroom could have used some new flooring, for example. But, overall, we were very comfortable and will definitely stay here again next time we come to Hilo!
“enjoyable stay”
While my room was pretty small, I enjoyed having my own bathroom. The premises are really cute and they have the friendliest horse in the yard! Breakfast was always good, and it never took me more than 10 minutes to get anywhere in Hilo! I would go back.

Clean and confortable room. Convenient for our sight seeing in the Hilo area.
“Great place if you are on a budget!”
You are living on top of the hill, in a bed and breakfast. The room that we had was small, owners were very nice and flexible. Place is close to the beach in Hilo, if you are traveling on a budget or one night stay this is a great place!
“Would go back again”
Beautiful location from which to enjoy Hilo. Lovely home where the owners made us feel very welcome. Nice walk to downtown Hilo. Breakfast was plentiful but standard continental style. Would definitely return to his nice place.
