“Forget the hotels and resorts - stay at CRC!”

This place is amazing - forget the resorts and hotels, visit this cabin to relax and recharge. We stayed 4 nights, which still wasn't enough - stay at least a week if you can! There is so much to do within a day's drive (as well as very close by), the hospitality of the owners is second to none, and the cabin is stocked with so many things to make your stay an experience you won't forget.

“Crater Rim - fantastic cabin”

This is a lovely, spacious cabin in a beautiful setting. The proximity to Volcanoes National Park is very convenient for touring this part of the island. The cabin hosts are extremely gracious and helpful. Highly recommended.

“A secluded gem for a lovely off the beaten track experience!”

Really a fabulous place. There are all kinds of lovely touches-- an abundance of towels, rain water showers, beautiful decoration, comfy chairs, a wood stove, a beautiful garden in the sun to eat breakfast, and delicious quiet that all makes for a wonderful time.

“Fantastique!!!”

Je peux vous assurer que cet hôtel est une perle rare. Si l'on me donnait le choix, je préfèrerai 1 000 000 000 de fois passer mon séjour dans cet hôtel que dans le plus beau des Hyatt.... Et je parle en connaissance de cause! A ne pas manquer donc sous aucun prétexte!

“Will go back”

We arrived late but Barry and Jim left everything so we could find where to put our car and how to make use of the property. They offer a standalone cabin on their property. It's private, spacious, and comfortable. The cabin was spotlessly clean, the shower was hot, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook for ourselves including a lot of cooking staples and breakfast foods. One tip for travellers would be to stop in Kona or Hilo for groceries if that is your point of entry (groceries are available nearby but selection is poor and prices are high). Crater Rim Cabin has a great location, only a couple of minutes drive to the main entrance of the Volcano Nat'l Park visitors area. Recommended.
