“Excellent hotel at excellent resort”
We had a fantastic week at La Ginnabelle in Geneva. The appartment had everything we needed and was conveniently situated so that we could walk into town. Only two small prblems : the underground car park which was awash with water and the time we had to wait for the room to be checked at the end of our stay.
“Great place to stay!”
The rooms at La Ginabelle are clean, convenient and affordable. By convenient, I am referring specifically to the kitchenette complete with stove, small oven, refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, and an array of cooking and eating utensils. I don't know if all the rooms have this, but ours had a balcony with a table and chairs... a great place to read and enjoy a cup of coffee and a grand view of the Alps! The hotel is located within 100 yards of the very nice train station, and though we were traveling by car, we decided it would be quite convenient if coming to town by train, loaded with luggage. And except when we walked or drove past the station, we completely forgot it was there, so no need to worry about the noise. The hotel is also located close to the beautiful heart of Chamonix, perhaps a bit over 100 yards away. In short, we would certainly recommend this hotel, and would definitely stay there again if we have the opportunity to return to Chamonix. Enjoy!
“Very impressed”
Really central location, excellent all round and will go back to stay there again!
“mgm Ginabelle”
Very lovely hotel, rooms very good, all you need. Excellent location to town centre. I will return. No bath in room though.
“Great value!”
Excellent location with views of Mont Blanc, (once the cloud lifted). Booked for two nights, but book an extra night with no problem. Reception most helpful and courteous.
“Great place to stay”
We were a little worried about what the hotel would be like having read some of the earlier reviews, but in the end it was absolutely fine. It was easy to find, the rooms were reasonably sized (for 2 people - any more might be a bit of a squash) and it was really clean. We had a great view of the mountains and glacier from our balcony. It wasn't noisy but it was only about a five minute walk from all the bars and restaurants which was ideal. The only drawback was that we didn't realise we had to reserve parking in advance and didn't get a space in the hotel car park. There was a free car park about a five min walk away which was fine. All in all great place to stay if on a budget! I would definately stay there again.
“Perfect Apartment”
La Ginabelle is situated only 2 mins walk from the centre of Chamonix. There is ample parking in a secure underground car park; a fee is payable for each 24hr period. The facilities which are available, are Swimming Pool, Sauna, Steam Room, all for no extra charge. Also a spa offering the usual pampering at extra cost. Our Apartment had a very welcoming feel to it. It was clean, comfortable, had seperate shower and toilet, an open plan lounge/kitchen/diner and had a bedroom with double bed. Sliding Patio doors opened onto a small balcony with table and chairs. The kitchen was very well equiped, with the usual stuff, kettle, fridge/freezer, hob, miocrowave, plenty hot water, coffee maker, plenty cutlery and crockery. The staff here, were totally professional, insistent on us having everything we needed - even offering us fresh towels daily if we needed them. Staff were fluent in English, and were able to decipher my broad Scots accent!! I would certainly recomment La Ginabelle to anyone wishing to explore the Mont Blanc district.
“most enjoyable”
we had to move to an apartment with an extra room as the booked room was impossiblely small for six peaple. This all but doubled the cost. staff were very very good we had a very good holiday
“Will stay again”
Good choice for family. Small condominium but very comfortable. Excellent view of Mont Blanc. Rooms have just enough space to move around beds. Small kitchen but it has everything you can ask for including silverware, plates & pots, cooking range, microwave & even dishwasher!!! Note that there was no owen if you plan to bake!! If I ever go again, I will stay there again. Hotel service was very good. They provide us little extra that we had ask for.
“Great Location - comfortable. Perfect for small family”
Perfect location - not far from anything, yet not in high traffic area. Apartment with balcony and kitchen perfect for small family. On site pool, workout and spa treatments a plus. Short walk to ski shuttle.
