“Picturesque mountain retreat”

This is the fourth summer I have stayed in Avoriaz, a purpose built resort high up in the mountains. On each visit, I have enjoyed my stay although it is important to have a car as the location is quite remote. The original buildings are starting to look somewhat tired now but overall internal condition is clean, warm & cosy. As the resort is at 1800m above sea level, it is at the mercy of the weather. Facilities are good on site, both for activities and also bars/restaurants. I would definitely return in the future, possibly for a skiing trip...

“Ski accomodation on a budget.”

My trip was a skiing weekend with my partner and 3year old daughter. We booked a studio apartment which had plenty of room for the three of us, plus all the excess clothes and equipment necessary for winter sports. Excellent 24hr check in service, accomodation as described on expedia, ski in-ski out (winter months only, obviously), clean and tidy, not very modern but due to the price I wasnt expecting 5* butler service. Cannot recommend this place enough for skiiers on a budget!

“Idéal pour un week-end sportif”

Classique des logements au ski : petit espace fonctionnel (mais récent et propre), de toute façon on n'est pas là pour rester enfermé dans l'appartement. Emplacement idéal, départ ski aux pieds et retour de même. Rien à redire sur les prestations. Tarif pas donné mais formule très pratique, surtout pour un court séjour.

“A five star view from a one star room”

What was called a "one-bedroom apartment" turned out to be a minuscule room with an additional double bed in a side closet (yes, literally a closet - barely fitting the bed!). Tiny bathroom, very limited storage space and the two sofa beds stuck close together in a corner made for very cramped conditions... On the plus side: a small but well equipped kitchen corner, fantastic views from all windows, and extremely convenient to ski (literally on the slopes, very good rental place right in the building). NOTE: this is NOT a hotel! It's an apartment building where some apartments are rented through this company. No hotel service whatsoever! (they provide sheets and blankets but don't even make the beds when you arrive) WARNING: check-in time is 5 PM, check-out time 10 AM, and they mean it! In summary: not worth the money (in February at least, when rates are double the low-season rates).

“la qualité n'est pas au rendez-vous”

lorsqu'on est arrivé après plus de huit heures de voyage nous avons attendu plus d'une heure car ils ne trouvaient pas la réservation. Finalement, ils nous trouvent une chambre mais pas toute jeune. Quelle n'est pas notre surprise de ne pas avoir ni draps ni couverture. Retour à l'accueil. Fin de soirée on monte pas d'oreillers et finalement pas de télé non plus. On est donc vraiment déçu de pierre et vacances

“Not impressed”

We were flying back to the UK at 6pm, so we expected somewhere to store luggage. We were refused to store our luggage for 4 hours at the hotel. I feel this is totally unreasonable, and due to this I will not be going back to this hotel.
