“nice hotel”
nice hotel and place
“Convenient location, good meals, reasonably priced”
Hotel is comfortable and conveniently located in central Chamonix. The included "half-board" meals were good and changed nightly. Hotel is a little old and this shows with worn carpets, old lifts and amenities.
“Nice place”
The restaurant was excellent! Try the the surf and turf menu. It was wonderful and a great value. The Spa area is nice but the Hamman had a mildew smell. The location is great, close to everything the town has to offer. There is bus stop across the street to bring you to the lifts.
“Great sport hotel”
Hotel Alpina is perfect if you're planning to be out all day hiking or skiing. Free jacuzzi and sauna. Small, clean, practical room. No free WiFi. Excellent buffet breakfast with a spectacular panoramic view.
“Good location, shame about the noise from works”
Hotel is in a good location and the staff were friendly and helpful. There some work going on in an adjoining room so there was noise all afternoon and drilling from 7.30 in the morning.

The negatives: Given the price, I was a little disappointed by the aging room we stayed in, also, the lack of a kettle so we could make a cup of tea was really disappointing. Our room was really hot, even with the radiator turned off, and as the Windows didn't open properly we had to prop them open with a water bottle to try to cool the room down. This made the room very noisy. Invest in earplugs if you stay on the non-Mont Blanc side of the hotel as the deliveries to the shopping arcade below will wake you in the wee early hours of the morning. The positives: the hotel is extremely central and well supported by handy busstops on the free shuttles to various Ski Areas. Despite the negatives above, I'd consider staying here again.
“rude staff hidden charges”
old hotel with good location. as soon as we got there they started charging us for everything that "isnt included" like parking, coffee, wifi, etc. The staff is very rude.
