Outside looks nice...deceiving!

Posted 18-May-2015
Pros: I liked the kindness of the staff even though we were dissatisfied.
Cons: Cleanliness, maintenance issues
Location: We didn't stay long enough to find out.
We had booked 3 rooms for 2 nights and checked out the morning after the first night...roaches in bed, rat trap under bed, door knob to bathroom broken from inside, sink faucet came up off of counter top when you turned on the water, bath tub clogged, room smelled like mold and mildew and air wasn't on when we got in so room was hot and muggy,

Woke up around midnight and found millipede-like bugs all over our room. We quickly changed rooms. Be prepared to be woken up at 8:30 AM everyday by the cleaning ladies. They won't knock on your door until 10:30, but they will be loudly gossiping outside your door starting at 8:30 every day.

Roachtel express

Posted 23-Mar-2015
As soon as we pulled up to the hotel I should've known something was a miss. I kept waiting to hear gun shots ring out. We got in the room and had to squish 3 German cockroaches. The beds were stiff. There were no baseboards where there had obviously been some prior. Chipping paint everywhere. The AC unit was very loud and drained into the entryway. Wish we would've driven a little further down the road.

Checked out as soon as we saw the rooms.

We booked this hotel for one night prior to a cruise. My fault for not looking more closely at where it's located. VERY industrial part of the wrong side of town. Rooms were old, dirty (someone else's hair and other nastiness on the bathroom floor), smelly, and there was a huge stain on the comforter of one of the beds. Location was sketchy at best. As soon as we walked into the room (didn't even take our luggage in just in case), we started looking for another room. EVERYTHING else in New Orleans was sold out, so we ended up booking another hotel over an hour away. We figured it was just one night, how bad could it be? Bad. Really bad. My husband said the lady at the front desk didn't act at all surprised that we were leaving. Don't do it. Spend a few extra bucks and stay somewhere else a bit more reputable.

Cleanliness is a concern

Posted 16-Mar-2015
Pros: Rates were relatively low
Cons: Cleanliness and housekeeping; security to control other hotel guests, when needed.
While the room wasn't dirty, there was a persistent odor of smoke. The hotel premises, including the carpark as well as breakfast area were generally dirty. Even the breakfast tables were quite sticky to the touch. In addition, there was no security to curb/control rowdy tenants who made noise throughout the night without care or concern to other tenants.

shuttle to French quarter

Posted 3-Mar-2015
Hotel was okay. Would have been a lot better if the toilet was clean. Bed was comfortable and hotel was very quite. Location of hotel wasn't far at all from frech quarter $20 cab if you didn't want to drive. Where the hotel is actually located looks a little ran down. Best thing is there is a shuttle bus to take you to Fary to ride to French quarter, but does have certain times. Overall cheap and okay place to stay, not just the best.
