I booked a room at the Harrisburg Hilton for an impromptu getaway for my significant other and myself- we are local and wanted to celebrate a special occasion. The room was gorgeous, allowing a spectacular view of the city and a beautiful suite. I called the day of our stay with a few requests and the Hilton staff person who took my call, Mustafa, took extraordinary measures to accommodate my needs. It was a wonderful stay.
The hotel is clean and the staff welcoming. My room had a very noisy A/C unit which kept me up all night. The location is unfortunate as there are no decent restaurants nearby. Nonetheless, it was an easy place to stay and community to my work location.
Just got back from staying here (end of June 2015.) Pool is of decent size, too bad it isn't deeper, otherwise I could do a little lap swimming. Great for kids though. Has hot tub and pool towels are provided. Plenty of parking. In-room air conditioning was good. Microwave and fridge were good. Beds were comfortable and quiet but just a little sunken in the middle. Good free breakfast had various fruits, juices, sausage, eggs, make your own waffles, various muffins, oatmeal, etc. Free wifi speed very good. Cleaning staff during the day was very friendly but late night front desk staff were less welcoming than expected.
Unfortunately the lobby was being renovated with new flooring, but I bet this will be a nice hotel once the renovations are completed. Outside was being renovated as well.
Loved the location--very convenient to all the places we needed to go.
