“Peaceful resting place in Hanoi”
The staff was extremely friendly and every single service, from room service to laundry, was professional. I loved the Spa experience. I highly recommend it. :) It is a peaceful oasis in the middle of a lively experience in Hanoi.
“Excellent hotel in Hanoi”
An excellent well managed hotel. Can not fault it. An oasis of calm and comfort.
“superb hotel”
room condition is very clean, service is fantastic, free wi-fi, for light breakfast, go to the bakery shop for coffee/french bread and they open early at 7am.conceirge is also very helpful and recommend good french restaurant.business centre staff is also very helpful. only complaint is we stayed at the opera wing and there is no hotel assistant to instruct taxi drivers to give him directions to go to places that we want to go, this is essential as taxi drivers do not undertsand much english. Also, went for a swim at the pool but with the renovation going on for the restoration of the bunker, the dust from drilling just went to the pool. Otherwise, it is a fantastic hotel to stay
“"Gracious Hanoi Hotel"”
Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi is a serene and elegant Hotel out of another era. This is my second wonderful stay.In contrast to the frenetic pace of traffic, hustle and bustle of the city and its people the hotel is a wonderful tranquil base to enjoy Hanoi. Its location in the old french quarter of Hanoi is central to many areas. The rooms are superbly comfortable and luxuriously equipped with everything one could wantin modern amenities..All the public rooms bars and restaurants are a joy to the eye and no detail is overlooked from the simple flower arrangements to the furnshings and comfort. All the staff are attentive, gracious and calm often offering useful advice to help make one's exploration and enjoyment of the city easier. I look forward to returning again soon.
“Great place for luxury stay in Hanoi”
I thoroughly enjoyed staying in this 5 star hotel in a great location in Hanoi. This was my first "5 star" hotel that we stayed at for our honeymoon. Loved every minute of it. The only bad part was that we went in November and the weather got too chilly to enjoy the pool. The service was great! The food was basically like US prices, but we did not really eat here except for the buffet breakfast which was ok. But there is a lot of good places to eat in Vietnam so its not really a problem. All the staff were very friendly and helpful except the staff in the breakfast buffet seemed to have a chilly demeanor. Other than that, great stay here. They even let us see the historic Graham Greene room in the old section. Oh, they also have a hip bar in the hotel and several restaurants.
“Fantastic hotel”
I love this hotel, I would rate it as one of the best I have ever stayed at. I would have rated this a 5 for all of it but they were renovating when we were there, so we had a room which was freshly painted, so whilst the look was great, the smell of paint was a little overwhelming. I had the most amazing facial at the day spa. In room service also was fabulous - well priced and the best room service food I have ever eaten.
“A first class hotel in a wonderful city”
The service in this hotel is as good as I've ever experienced. Omni-present, attentive and knowledgeable. Plus, the hotel, itself, is a classic in great condition. I highly recommend it.
“Fantastic hotel”
Great hotel. Had read good reviews on this and wanted a bit of luxury after two weeks travelling accross Vietnam by bus and sleeper train. Checked in early and got a room in the older wing. Beautiful decor and great touches. Waterfall shower and big bath. Had chocolates by the bed both days and someone came to pull our curtains and turn down the bed for us every evening. Great location near the turtle lake and opera. Also nice restaurant and bar, was given voucher for two drinks on check in which was nice, and welcome! Pricey room service, as per other expensive hotels. Overall, one of my favourite hotels for old school glamour and very attentive and friendly staff.
“I would not stay elsewhere in Hanoi...”
I must say the hotel was great. I would like to return to Hanoi just to stay at the hotel again. I haven't enjoyed a hotel stay so much in a while! Few hotels have this quality of service.
“Excellent hotel-wish I could have stayed longer”
The hotel was a little bit of sanctuary in a fast paced and loud city. Food was terrific and rooms extremely comfortable.
