The streets around Hoan Kiem lake was closed for festival involving the Ngoc Son Temple and the whole place in a festive mood. The staff are extremely helpful in coordinating our trips to Halong Bay and Sapa. The transfers to/from hotel and train station were seamless, leaving us to enjoy the trip.
