“Jiminy Peak with two fourteen year old boys”
This was the perfect place for memeorial day weekend with two fourteen year old boys! They had a ball at the outdoor park and we could see them froom pool side seats! The one bedroom suite was the perfect size for the four of us. The boys slept in the pull out queen sized bed (with pillows down the center, heaven forbid they touch each other!) and the bedroom had a very nice king sized bed. The kitchenette area was great for two constantly eating, growing boys. Would go again in a heart beat
“Beautiful surroundings”
The hotel is located in a beautiful area and has activities kids enjoy. Having a suite makes the stay very comfortable with enough room to enjoy spending time in it. The kitchenette was great and had all you need including a dishwasher. Maid service was excellent. We ate one meal in the hotel restaurant, the breakfast buffet, which I thought was over priced for what you got. The quality of the food was acceptable, the variety lacking.
“Great option”
The one bedroom suite was perfect for our purposes, with king in one room and comfortable queen pull out in other. Nice set up so that each room had independent access to the bathroom. Small kitchen. Clean. Quiet.
“Charming stay”
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is geared primarily as a ski lodge though we stayed during leaf peeper season. Only worry was lack of signage on drive into area entrance. There are multiple "Jiminy Peak" lodgings. Otherwise, had a quaint time.
“As with a previous visit we were well satisfied.!”
The hotel is clean and well maintaned with a friendly helpful staff. Our room did have a refrigerator and microwave. There is an excellant restaurant on site. A new activety available at the resort this year is geo-caching.
“We appreciated the green efforts”
We took the ski lift to the top and walked to the windmill. It was beautiful and I was happy to hear how much energy it provides for Jiminy Peak and the area. We also appreciated other green efforts like disposable cups made from biodegradable corn products. I prefer to frequent companies that are environmentally conscious.
“Pure fun”
We had a great time at Jiminy Peak. The staff was engaging and relaxed with our kids (aged 5 and 11), the room was perfect for a family of four (a two room suite with a queen-sized pull-out bed in the day room). The place was wondeful to explore - we went up the chair lift and came down the alpine slide. Bring your suits - there are hot tubs. And the fire department held a ski sale the next morning! Only draw back is the restaurant - typical high-calorie, low value American food. Check out the small grocery store in the parking lot - they have good coffee, wine, and wholesome food.
“Spacious for the family”
Rooms are functional and spacious with a king sized bed in the bedroom, bathroom, living room and small kitchen. Hotel staff was very friendly. Clean and basic services.
“Very quiet and relaxing place to get away!”
Stayed here for the weekend and had a great time. Room included a full kitchen, living room, and separated bedroom. Had trouble with stovetop burner- getting it to heat while cooking. Also there were very few ice machines and I had to go up to the restaurant to fill the cooler. The interior was kind of a maze to get back to your room from the lobby; but overall, I would recommend this hotel and stay there again!
“for the orthodox jewish traveler”
in addition to being a very nice place with winter/summer attractions on site, added bonuses for orthodox jewish travelers include: *kitchen facilities (note unfortunately the stove is electric) but you do have a fridge and microwave *in season the hotel at times has minyanim on grounds (inquire at the helpful front desk) *chabad is nearby also with minyanim at times *major shopping with access to kosher foods (not meat) is within 15 minutes
