All the bedrooms are on the first or second floor and can be independantly accessed from the street. Due to the historic construction of the building there is no access to accommodation floors by any other means than the stairs.

“Westgate Inn”

Location is excellent. They made us feel welcomes and were very friendly. Breakfast was good. Room and general decoration was in need of TLC. Despite this I would stay there again.

Good location for seeing city. Hotel is old but fairly well maintained. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was excellent.

“3 star, your having a giraffe.”

This is not a 3 star hotel. Where is the mention of it being a pub? Accommodation very tired but the owners very welcoming. Room was dark and cold on arrival. Very noisey room with single glazed windows over looking a mini roundabout on a main road through the middle of Winchester.
