“Great customer service”
From the friendly reception staff, breakfast service to housekeeping who help return our daughter lost doll the service we recieved at the hotel reached the very highest 4* standard we have encountered. Thank you.
“Would book again!”
Quiet with all the facilities for a great stay. Off the beaten track with beautiful grounds.
“Best waitress in the world”
We had a smashing time, and my Mum and Dad and our children had an equally enjoyable experience. The formal restaurant was terrific, and the waitress was charming and really made our stay. We will return!
“Great Time”
An excellent Hotel with helpful staff and great food
“Great hotel excellent service”
The reception desk couldn't have done more very comfortable
“Not too bad”
Very pleasant location. The room was spacious and comfortable (slight problem with the toilet which took about 10 minutes to refill after flushing). The bar staff were keen to clean up in the evening and it was slightly annoying that they started to vacuum while we were still eating! But we did enjoy our stay and would recommend.
“Great place, breakfast lets them down”
This hotel, set within its own golf course has a wonderful feel of being in the middle of the country. It's a strange set up; not all rooms being accessible by lift & corridors with stairs halfway along. Make sure you check if you have any accessibility issues. We had a room with two double beds which was great for our small family stay over a bank holiday weekend. We were at the far side of the hotel so even though there was a wedding party there on the Saturday night we didn't hear a thing. The staff were great & did their best to make us welcome. But the hotel was let down badly by breakfast time. Day one were down for breakfast early & it was faultless; a great selection of food, space & plates were cleared away quickly. Day two, & sadly day three, we were down a little later (still a good two hours before breakfast service came to a close) & the difference was astounding! It was as if a plague of locusts had descended on the place! There was practically nothing left in any of the juices, no glasses to use (I asked three times over a ten minute period & in the end the poor 'in training' server got a tray of mugs for people to use), the cold cuts selection was empty, bread basket empty, muffins and danish selection empty - you get the picture. I accept that there was a wedding on, but am pretty sure this would have been booked in advance, with numbers confirmed! Played the 9 hole valley course which was fun & juniors welcome to play. We'd go again, but get breakfast early!
“Maintenance!”
Everything was fine until the last night, when the hotels boiler started making horrible noises... They said they fixed it but it happened again and again... so we had to leave as our 9 month old daughter couldn't sleep.
“Not what you should get for the money you pay”
Hotel is beginning to show its age in a couple of areas. Very dissapointing to have to queue to be seated for breakfast for 20 minutes most mornings and some of the service of the waiting staff is not what you would expect given the price charged. Also dissapointing to have to share the bar/resteraunt with several golf tours who were extremely drunk and extremely loud with 'non-family' language. Bit of a let down to be honest
