Only if you have no other choice
1) There are no electrical outlets within reach in the room. I had to charge the phone in the socket of the bathroom, and the laptop in the socket of the vacuum cleaner near the front door (the hotel's answer: this is how it is in all the rooms). 2) I asked if I could have a glass of fresh lemon juice (on doctor's orders - I got there after a week in Copenhagen, where they were happy to fulfill my modest request). The person responsible for breakfast answered: "No." Summary: A two star hotel pretending to be four stars.

loved the spa. omg! wish the slide was working. breakfast is a must. location is perfect and free train card is a huge benefit so close to HBF and attractions perfect! needs English subtitles on TV

We have stopped at this property on several occasions and the service has gone down. There was no Internet to the television in the room. You could not cast as they said you could. The window in the room was left open fully , the room was cold and insecure. Paper cups in the room only 2 tea bags . 2 strips of coffee no Milk. We were not told the pool and sauna were closed. We did complain to the front desk. Nothing was rectified. The staff at front desk was not concerned at all On leaving the receptionist as was everything ok . I stayed 3 nights, and many times in the past 10 years, the room is so run down no upgrading done, the mattress is soft and the pillow is too soft result I suffered a neck stiffness every morning! The shower room flooring is too slippery and will easily cause accident!

we were not allowed to park the car in the garage because it runs on electricity. It cost us €11 more to park in a public garage. Too many troublesome stairs to reach the room, we are not young people anymore. Never choose this hotel again. worst so far on our trip through Europe.

Love, love the staff! They were absolutely wonderful! When I told them that I was preparing to present at an International conference, they found the quiet room possible, which was spacious, luminous, pleasant and impeccable. No questions went unanswered The Hotel staff was warm, interested in helping, professional and knowledgeable. I would go back! Right across the central Hamburg Train station and next to little fab Portuguese restaurants nearby. All the interesting points were within walking distance. I highly recommended it! I feel deeply grateful; my stay was splendid!

Excellent. The rooms are clean, comfortable, well furnished and have space. We loved it. The staff are very professional and friendly. Excellent breakfast. And even though it's just over the road from the main station, our room was quiet. The hotel does provide earplugs for guests who may be overlooking the main road. Would live to come again.

Very central
It was a lovely hotel, staff were lovely. It’s in a central location and right near the main train station. The internet was very hit and miss.

Excellent situation opposite HauptBahnhof. Multilingual pleasant staff - guy on luggage storage particularly good considering what a boring job. Even cleaners pleasant. Excellent piano bar on Friday and Saturday nights. Breakfast comprehensive with long hours to get it. Room noisy due to location but hotel gave earplugs and slippers. Room stuffy but bed and chair comfortable with option to request more coffee made clear. Hadn't noticed minibar

No parking, no cancellations…
I am disappointed. With the hotel itself and with Hotels.com too. Parking onsite could not be booked and was not included. The parking next to it costs over 40€/day in a terrible parking garage. They did not grant a cancellation and the luggage had to be carried two blocks to the hotel

The room was so absolutely wonderful! Authentic furnishings and thoughtful design! Sweet love seat built into the corner of the room and matching vintage furniture! Super convenient location right across the street from the train station. Well designed bathroom that was simultaneously functional and remarkably dramatic. We really wished we could have stayed longer and plan to return as soon as possible!

Very comfortable and clean, with a good breakfast and super convenient to the central station. My only complaint is the rooms has no ventilation or AC. The air was stagnant in our room.

I stayed in the section of hotel which there was NO AC in the room. I had to use a fan in the four star hotel. The water in the sink and shower does not drain properly.

Was perfect location for train travel. The concierge provided easy directions to use the transit system, with hotel provided transit passes, to the new Hamburg Concert Hall. After concert drinks in the hotel bar were a perfect end to the day. We were able to use the free transit passes to tour the city prior to our leaving and the welcomed late departure the hotel provided.

My room was very cozy and the twin bed was excellent. I slept really well. The hotel is just outside the main train station and you are basically at the heart of the city's subway network. A 3 day ticket for free public transportation is included and the hotel will extend it after 3 days. Breakfast is also included and covers everything. The hotel bar is cozy as well. Just the front desk staff needs to be mow customer friendly.

Last of the Christmas Markets
Fantastic hotel right across the street from the main train station. They gave us a great view for our anniversary and the breakfast was really good, too. It is centrally located so you can walk to most places or just hop on the metro or bus (they give you a multi day pass to use on all public transport… wow). We would definitely stay here again.

Functional hotel in good location
Whilst not on a par decor-wise with more modern hotels in Hafencity for example, the Europaischer Hof nevertheless has some advantages - its location across the road from the Hbf can't be beaten if you need to catch an early train, plus it is within easy walking distance of the central sights such as the Dom as well as the Hafencity. The 3-day travel pass is a nice touch, the breakfast was tasty with a wide choice and there is a cosy bar. Didn;t get to use the wellness area unfortunately as only there for one night. Although the interior decor is quite dated, the room was comfortable and clean.
