“Will definitely return”

The front desk staff were extremely helpful and answered all of our questions regarding where to go in the city for what we wanted. I loved the location of the hotel; only a short walk from the pedestrian ferry which allowed us to not have to worry about parking when visiting downtown Halifax. All in all, this hotel was a great deal for the service and location!

“It surpassed our expectations”

This hotel was in a very convenient location for us and offered us all the amenities we needed: good breakfast, nice room, excellent wireless internet access, flat HD TV, and underground parking. The staff were very helpful in directing us to good restaurants and a shopping mall.

“Dartmouth Super 8 - Super Deal”

This hotel has been completely renovated with new furniture in the rooms and a new breakfast area serving complimentary hot and cold self-serve breakfasts. There is a new, free internet access area as well as complimentary morning newspapers delivered to your room. This hotel is close to local public transit and access to the Halifax - Dartmouth ferry is a block away.

“A good place to stay without the Halifax prices”

I recommend the Super 8 hotel in Dartmouth. The room I had (King size bed, no smoking) was clean, large and comfortable with a mini-fridge and microwave oven. It was quiet and there is underground parking at $10.00 a night. I think that it is the former Marinova hotel. Go to level 2 parking (entrance in back not side) because level 1 is pretty tight. If you have business in downtown Halifax you can leave your car at the hotel and take the ferry which is a 5 minute walk away. It takes about 10 minutes to cross the harbour. Although there is a nice Irish pub nearby, generally downtown Dartmouth is quiet and a tad seedy and run-down. You're best to head to Halifax for a night out. Take ferry or bus or taxi. There a few good eating places nearby: a Subway restaurant, Revanna's pizza and a good chinese restaurant. There is a Lawtons as well to get munchies and pop for your room. The hotel's free breakfast is decent.

“Great hotel.”

Great hotel. The rooms were large and the beds were very comfortable. Our room had a balcony which was a nice surprise. The quick start breakfast was good and there was plenty of choices. We would definitely stay there again.

“Very Nice”

For a very old building, the motif was very modern. Other than the elevators being extremly outdated, the buildling was very nice. Staff very friendly, but can be misleading if given till 12 to checkout.

“very convenient location”

Super 8 model resides in a great location, 3 mins away from Dartmouth ferry where you can take a boat to Halifax. it is close to Macaskills restaurant where the food is great. it take 10 minutes drive to pass a bridge to halifax downtown, 75 cents needed to pass the bridge though on each pass. Tim Hortons is nearby and a yard sale in front of the hotel. The best of all, front desk is very helpful!! Room is clean and I can see the harbor from the balcony. there are fridge in the room which is very convenient.

“Roy on the Rock”

Suite was as expected - clean and spacious. Free internet and continental breakfast was an added bonus. Easy access to ferry to Halifax makes Super 8 an attactive option to more expensive downtown Halifax hotels. For sure we will stay again.
