“Excellent Location”
My husband and I spent 3 nights @ The Prince George, July 9-11,2006. Staff is polite and helpful, room was spacious and immaculately clean. Hotel is a short walk to The Citadel, Public Gardens, all waterfront activities and funkier Spring Garden Street. Great restaurants and pubs are also a short walk away (we didn't eat @ the hotel). Favorites were Sweet Basil, O'Carrols and Salty's.Would definitely go back and recommend to friends.
“Perfect location for events at the MetroCenter - only a few blocks from Downtown”
They really have their act together - reasonable prices - friendly and helpful staff
“Bon goût et confort”
Bel hôtel, excellent brunch pour le déjeuner, service courtois, lit très confortable et couette luxueuse.
“Halifax's very best hotel”
The Prince George hotel is a superb high end hotel. The hotel adjoins the Convention Centre through underground walkways which also lead into a shopping mall and other shops in the downtown area. This is a great convenience in a northern city when visiting in the winter. The lobby of the hotel is elegant and the staff is always readily available and friendly. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and elegantly decorated. The sitting area, with two comfortable chairs and an ottoman was a nice touch and the piece de resitance was the bed and pillows which were a wonderful experience in comfort.
“Amazing service”
Can't say enough about the courteous and helpful staff at the Prince George. The Concierge(s) were informative and went out of their way to be helpful. Rooms were clean and modern and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Housecleaning left you alone until they knew you were out of your room. Great experience....recommend it highly. Close to everything!!
“Great Location”
Walking distance to everything in downtown Halifax. Extremely comfortable, large room. We had the pool and hot-tub to ourselves. Love the powerful jets in that hot-tub, by the way. This would be our first choice on a return trip to Halifax.
“Smashing”
Neither my wife nor I knew about Halifax so it was a leap of faith to pick this Hotel for our second anniversary weekend. We had a quiet room on the top floor. Great. The in-room breakfast service was great. Halifax is a small city so any location is convenient. We enjoyed not having a car and just walking to various sites and restaurants. It is a 2 minute walk to the Five Fishermen (the top rated restaurant in Halifax) and a five minute walk to the Museum (the top rated tourist attraction). Our room faced the Citedel (number 2 attraction) which we toured although it was closed for the season.
“Great Hotel”
Nice hotel - connected to the pedway underground walkway so I could easily get to where I was working without going outside to bad weather. Staff very courteous and helpful.
“Prince George Hotel: Excellent”
“Everything was impressive!”
Everything about this hotel indicated that they intended to live up to their good name. From the time we checked in to the time we checked out everyone, bellman, front desk, conciser, maid staff, wait staff in both restaurants, seemed to be totally at our disposal. Everything was clean, neat and well managed. This would be our only choice if we go back to Halifax.
