If you want to be on the waterfront/boardwalk, you need to book at the Marriot Harbourfront! Everything that Halifax has to offer is within walking distance of the hotel. The staff is awesome!

The atmosphere was laid back but the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is right on the harbour front next to the historic properties. The bar next door (the Lower Deck) has open air seating, good food and brilliant live bands. There is also a Starbucks in the hotel for people who need a caffine fix before starting the day.

“Nice Hotel in the heart of Halifax”

We just came back from a 2 night stay at the Marriot Halifax Harbourfront hotel. The hotel is a little tricky to drive into with the traffic and one way streets but once you are inside it is a clean and comfortable retreat right in the heart of downtown. We requested a room on the north side of the hotel because we heard that it's the "quiet side" of the hotel. It was very quiet, very comfortable and very clean! The beds are soft and the shower is great with the rainforest shower head. We didn't use the internet in our room, but instead went to the business centre where there are 3 computers on internet with a printer a fax that can be used for free. We worked out in the exercise room both days. The exercise equipment is nicely set up with tv's and headphones with a high end range of equipment. We had a view of the harbour from our room which was nice and during the day we walked the boardwalk along waters starting right in front of the hotel. Overall, nice place to stay. We rented a car and went to Peggy's Cove to get out of the city and see the beautiful scenery. It was the highlight of the trip!

“MARRIOT HARBOURSIDE”

The Marriot Harbourside hotel is an excellent hotel, well situated to gain access to the harbourside activities, yet has an exit straight to the main road out of Halifax. The rooms are spacious with good facilities, bed very comfortable. Hotel recption staff were first class, and service during meal and at the Fife & Drum bar could not be faulted. I would definitely stay in this Marriot hotel again.

“Wonderful Weekend in Halifax”

My family and I just came back from a long weekend in Halifax. We stayed at the Marriott Halifax Harbourfront. We were extremely pleased with our stay at the hotel. The hotel personnel were very helpful and always polite. The room was clean and we had a nice view of the harbour. We enjoyed both breakfast and lunch at the 44 North Restaurant, which is located within the hotel. The hotel pub was also very lively in the evening and the live band entertained us with great music. In addition, the hotel has a great central location, being located next door to the Casino and the historic properties. I would definitely recommend this hotel for future travellers and I would surely stay there again for any future visits.
