“A night to remember”
I spent a couple of nights here and they were amaizing. The hotel es small and beautiful, the rooms are over the top with details and comfort. My partner and I had one of the best nights ever. Thanks
“Best hotel I have ever stayed in”
One can tell from the moment they arrive that this is a hotel run by people that care. All of the staff were very nice and were able to change money for us, hire us a taxi or tuk-tuk, or put left overs in their fridge. When my backpack developed mold due to the extreme amount of rain they washed it for us. Most of the staff is able to converse in english which is great when you don't speak spanish. When it rained they had umbrellas for guests to use to get to their rooms or to take with them when they went out. The hotel is well maintained and extremely quaint. The room we stayed in felt like someone luxury guest room, as far from a generic hotel room as possible. They gave us free bottled water every day and the complimentary breakfast rivals any breakfast I have ever paid for. If the weather is behaving you can enjoy your breakfast at a table on the roof with a great view of the 3 volcanos. The room service was even nice enough to fold our clothes and tidy up our belongings. The area inside the hotel is open with all sorts of beautiful flowers, fountains and plants. The only downside to this hotel is that it is less convenient than most other hotels in Antigua. If you have the time and the weather permits you can walk to the central park and the surrounding shops in about 15 minutes.
“Clean hotel with great upkeep”
Clean, well-maintained room. Excellent complimentary breakfast, with a buffet option for a few extra dollars. Beautiful courtyard. Very friendly and helpful staff.
“los pasos”
This was a great hotel, very helpful staff. They took care of every detail. I plan to return soon.
“Nice peaceful place.”
It's a small hotel, very nice and cozy, and the staff is always there with a smile to help you. You can walk to the Cathedral and you have a couple of historical churches two blocks away. The breakfast included in the price is good and you have three options to choose.
“Nice hotel, poor customer service”
We had a really nice stay at this hotel. The property was beautiful and the rooms were very clean, well-decorated, and romantic. They are slightly over-priced compared to some other places we later checked out. Customer service at the hotel was sub-par. The housekeeping and kitchen staff were wonderful, but the front-desk staff were not very helpful or friendly. We often felt like we were bothering them. This was a pretty big minus. We did really like the location of Hotel Los Pasos. It was a super short walk to the square, but in a much quieter location which we enjoyed. Check out the nearby bar Por Que No. If the room rate went down just a bit and the customer service improved, we'd stay again, but until then are likely to try somewhere else or next visit.
“a gem in a jewelbox”
Beautiful gardens; splendid antiques; the most pleasant and accommodating staff. Rooms, like most of Antigua's, on the small side so don't bring a lot of luggage!
“Would return any time”
Lovely hotel, favourable location. Friendly and competent staff. Noise level dependent on other guests, but there were few when we stayed there. Very good maintenance of rooms and hotel in general including the gardens. Wonderful roof terrace. Breakfast relatively modest. We would return any time.
“Kind of noisy in the morning due to children”
Although the accommodations were fine and the ambiance was relaxing, at night, there were some guests who were rather noisy. The same occurred in the following morning. I would advice the hotel managers to ask their guests to be considerate of other guests, especially if they have children. The next door guests to our room had a couple of children who banged the door, made a lot of noise while in the bathroom and outside on the corridor. This dampened my relaxing stay.
