On the whole it was a good stay for 12 nights. Would have liked to have had an area to go to relax outside to have a beer and socialise. The area itself was interesting and reasonably close to the metro

When we checked in at the hotel, we were told that we can check out at 2:00 PM as we need to go to hospital to visit our mother in early morning next day. Howver, when we were back to the hotel around 1:30 PM, our room key was not working. After the front desk called someone to open the room for us, we found that the room has been clearned.

Good Hotel, Mostly Good Staff, So-So Location
After my horrid experience in Hong Kong/Kowloon, I was delighted to find a good hotel with lots of room, a huge bed and good bathroom. The staff was mixed. The morning staff, in particular Kevin, was great and spoke good English. The afternoon staff spoke hardly any and it was very difficult to communicate. One of them actually called one of the morning staffers to speak with me. I suggested later that they ought to have one of the morning staff work the afternoon shift so that those who use English as a travel language (like almost everyone in the world -- Europe, South America, Africa and other parts of Asia) can be better served. The area was okay, not really central, but near a major park and a few restaurants and sightseeing highlights, e.g. an emperor's tomb and Sun Yat-Sen memorial. Taxis were cheap and I was able to go to the lively Beijing Lu street promenade easily. Naturally, this being China, no Facebook or Google, but you can get a VPN to bypass all this. TV had no major channels, but CGTN (China English Network) was surprisingly balanced and provided good world news. When I left (very early at 6 a.m. to catch a flight) the overnight staff quickly checked me out and helped get me a taxi. All in all, except for the afternoon staff English shortcomings, a good hotel.

Hotel close to city
An old hotel with dated furnishing which is 5 star material back in the 90s. Hotel is clean and mostly quiet. It's near to some of the famous eateries in Guangzhou. Air conditioning needs improvement as the room is not warm enough in the winter month

Nice hotel
We stayed 2 nights, the room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Shower works perfectly and breakfast although os not the best was more than enough. The only negative point was the internet connection, the was not working well, but I guess wasn't the hotel fault. Beautiful park very close, they are few convenience shops and restaurants around. In general was a nice experience.

Affordable good overall hotel
Convenient location. Subway, restaurants and shopping very close by. Very good price. Clean but not a fancy hotel. Building B elevator is not the same level as the room floor. Hard to lift up the luggage to go down the stairs. I have back pain and should have asked them change the room to building A.

Outstanding value for the Price
This hotel offers unbelievable value for the price and has virtually any feature one could desire except a restaurant (there is a coffee shop). My only reservation was that the staff, though helpful and reasonably fluent in English, gave me some wrong answers about transportation arrangements, such as travel times by metro, when metro service begins in the morning, and the like.

This hotel was not well known, even the taxi driver had to go round the road twice. The hotel signboard was not lighted at 0300 hrs. so we had to go down and ask if it was the correct hotel that we booked. We were give a room overlooking the old residencial area instead of overlooking the city as booked.

Hi Expedia customer care First of all when I arrived to sino trade centre hotel. .....my room was not free for me !!! I arrived at 6 pm on 20th of july the reception told after 3 hours (9pm) the room will be free for me .... he told me because the customer paid for 5 hours !! I told him but already I paied from 20th to 29th? He told sorry go and take around and 9 pm your room will be ready for you! ! I am soo tired. ... and he ignored me Regards Abdulrahman El-Dous

Nice stay for any purpose.
great room in block A and many eater is in walking distance, 10 mins to nearest subway Yue Xie park. Most of attraction Can be accessed by bus outside hotel. The only issue is no warm aircondition supply but the heater is provided upon request. Block B which is behind the block A is not recommend. Receptionist Coral is great !

Nice, Neat and Clean Hotel good locality
It's a nice neat and clean hotel in a good locality. Service also good. They need to improve their breakfast though. Lot of eateries around especially middle eastern food. At the same time, the tariff should have been lower since its so far away from business districts, train station and exhibition center.

Really nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The bed was very hard and so were the pillows so sleep was not easy. There were water marks on the carpet which made it look dirty (pity) and there was some mould in the bathroom. The position was fair, an 8 minute walk to the metro, but it was a safe and clean area. I would go there again. Their complimentary water was 2 x 330ml bottles - and I arrived in the heat of summer after an 8 minute walk from the metro (dripping with sweat and an empty bottle of water of my own)- the room's water was gone in seconds and then I had no more for a cuppa! More water (larger bottles) would have been good.

Caution on the booking
I booked a business room which is bigger then the regular room . When I checked in the hotel they put me in a regular room and insisted that is a business room and I need to add more money ($5 us dollar per day) in-order to move to a real business room.

Good experience of the first stay in this hotel
This hotel has a good location for food. The bus stop is right in front and the Metro station is about 5mins walk convenient. But this place will have difficulty to get a taxi early morning and late night to go to the airport. Their front desk service is good and polite. I will come again to this hotel.

Value for money hotel.
Pleasant. Hotel room is spacious and hotel staff are very sincere. The neighborhood is very safe too. Streets are still lit at night and you will have no problems finding your way back at night. We got a non-smoking room after requesting for it and there is really no cigarette smell inside. Very satisfied with the hotel =)

Nice hotel for its value. A few shops in neighboring area and quite close to Yuexiu Part and Sun Yat Sen. The only downside was the internet connection had some problem in the evening.
