"Great place to start out your vacation."
We arrived on a late night flight and were promptly picked up by the free shuttle. Check in was quick and the room was clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast buffet! Lots to choose from, even some local favorites. It's ideal location near the airport makes it a great place for a first night or last night stay in Costa Rica .

"Nice hotel, GREAT staff!"
Nice modern hotel, close to the beach but not close to anything else. The hotel staff are GREAT, very personable and friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome.

"Great hotel basically right on the beach"
We loved this hotel. We stayed in a room with an ocean view & it was a very clean & nice room. Only complaint would have been the people in the next room smoked & since it was a non-smoking room they smoked on their patio right outside which came into our room due to the venting in the windows. Once that was taken care of by staff it was smooth sailing. The hotel grounds are beautiful & spacious & well-kept. The food at the hotel was also very tasty.

"Quiet paradise"
Beautiful, comfortable, tastefully decorated rooms. more than enough space for our 3 teens. Great Breakfast choices Wonderfully kind staff who truly enjoy their work. Isolated location, 30 km of gravel so a 4-by-4 is a must if you plan to leave the hotel grounds.

"Beautiful views and friendly staff"
We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The food was great and the room was well kept and very comfortable. The views were spectacular from every spot in the hotel including the pool area, dining area and room balcony. There was lots of wild life close by as well because of the remote setting. The only issue was limited space by the pool on the weekend days.

"New Hotel not so great experience"
We booked this brand new hotel thinking it was going to be a great experience but it turned out to be completely the opposite. From the moment we arrived we noticed something wasn't right. The hotel was empty not a lot of guests and you could tell they were short staff. We got there at 1:00 pm and asked for our room, which they said the room wasn't ready so they told us to wait… we waited and waited….long story short one hour later the person in charge (clearly not the manager) told us to come back at 4pm. I had to unload the bags from the car by myself no help was offered and then I had to load them again because we did not get our room till 2 hours later. Finally at 4 pm we got our room. We booked a King size bed and we got two twin beds. The room was dirty, bathroom was dirty. Toilet was clogged. Shower was dirty and no hot water. Not too many parking spots, I had to park on the street. No manager available to complain. Terrible experience. They weren't ready to have people at their hotel, they were still unpacking boxes, clearly the were short staffed. Wouldn't recommend the hotel

"Excellent Resort in Tamarindo"
Just returned from a great 3 night stay at Cala Luna and can only say it was wonderful. We stayed in a villa which was a treat, private pool, kitchen and spacious. The staff was 5 star. Arrived and greeted with a delicious drink. Sunset coctail on the beach was delightful. Ate at the on site restaurant the first night. Excellent. The included breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired. French press coffee, omelet station, great pastries and local tropical fruit. $5 cab ride into Tamarindo for dinner and exploring. Would strongly recommend as roads were poor. Also, great supermarket in town should you choose to cook. Beach was great, lounge chairs, towels and attendants. Can't say enough. our standards are high and they were exceeded.

"Perfect Costa Rica vacation"
We visited the Andaz with our five year old daughter and when it was time to leave after one week, she cried – that has never happened before. Us parents felt the same way. We will miss the relaxed, low key atmosphere, fantastic food, beautiful beaches and especially the friendly staff. Everyone at Andaz was helpful and competent but if there were an award for the most child friendly team in hospitality, the Andaz's "cambi" kid's Club would win it. The people at cambi sincerely enjoy working with kids, keep them busy with interesting projects and create such a lovely atmosphere. Only downside: Parents have a hard time getting their kids out of there. Since Andaz faces the bay, beaches are rather quite. The hotel offers complimentary shuttle to beautiful beaches on the Pacific facing side of the peninsula where the big waves are. Spa, Gym, classes are also top notch. The nature in several National Parks in the area is beyond believe.

    The Glory of Guanacaste

Raw and wild are the only ways to describe this beautiful vacation destination. The cattle ranches and sugar plantations peppering the lush local landscape help to tame the influence of nature’s unrestrained growth. Pumas, sloths, and hundreds of other exotic species roam the breathtaking landscape inside the Rincon de la Vieja National Park. Inside restaurants with thatched roofs, local culinary trends mix Nicaraguan food and Costa Rican flair to create unforgettable flavours.

    Exotic Weather

Guanacaste’s climate differs from the rest of the country. The province experiences a minimal amount of rain for much of the year. Long stretches of dry heat from November to April attract many visitors who are trying to escape cold North American winters. Precipitation picks up a bit from May to October. During this time, crystal beads of rain drip poetically on the necks of thick, green leaves. This hidden paradise of forests and waterfalls is the perfect place to escape to any time of the year.

Plan Your Stay in a Lush Wonderland

Imagine a stack of page-turning books and a fruity cocktail beside you on an untouched stretch of sand. Your only care will be whether or not to take another sip or get up to do a little sightseeing. Let the thought of touring the Nosara Wildlife Rescue, the Palo Verde National Park, and Tenorio Volcano National Park inspire you to leave the beach blanket behind for a little while. Join the many visitors who grab Guanacaste North Pacific Coast car rentals to tour limestone caves inside Barra Honda National Park. If you start missing your beach blanket, you can always squeeze more sun into your itinerary on visits to Playa Avellanas, Playa Samara, and Playa Conchal.
