"Very enjoyable stay."
Loved the facilities - the pools were spectacular. The breakfast was excellent. Drinks and meals were not cheap, but the stay actually ended up costing less than I expected. I would certainly recommend this resort.

"Good location at the main street. "
I considered this the best hotel in the little town of Playa del Coco. It is next to restaurants, shops, and a walking distance to the beach. The two floor hotel has no elevator but The staff manages to get the suitcases to our room. The bedroom is small but it has a good siza flat scree tv, mini refrigerator and good a/c. It is quiet and clean but very simple. The breakfast is continental so we had to pay for the eggs. Staff is pleasant. No internet in the room. Many stairs to go anywhere inside the hotel but still the best place in town.

"Tranquillity!"
My friends and I stayed in the 2 bedroom villa for 4 days. The villa was very nice we fancied the outdoor shower most. The staff was very friendly as well especially Karina, she made happy hour worth looking forward to. The food was descent, but I'd recommend the Tiki Hut restaurant which is about 10 mins away for those who dont just want average food. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway, this is the perfect place. It would also be in your best interest to rent a car to get there, despite the long rough road the scenery and peace of mind is absolutely worth it!

"Great way to conclude our Costa Rican Adventure"
We stayed at Borinquen for the last two nights of a week long trip around the northern end of Costa Rica. It was a perfect conclusion to an amazing week. While not a quick drive to the Liberia airport, it was close enough for us to easily return our rental car and get to the airport with plenty of time for our 11:45 flight back home. We highly recommend the Ecological Horseback guided tour. We saw two species of monkey and toucans and some splendid open vistas. Later that night we were able to see many more monkeys right outside our villa and spent an hour or so watching their antics. Hearing the Howler Monkeys, I was able to track them down before dinner in a tree near the restaurant. The trip up to the resort was rugged but nothing compared to the drive to and from Monteverde. There is very little traffic on the road so go slow and use your GPS and 4 wheel drive. There are tour groups that come in just for the day (a few hours really)...if you find them loud and obnoxious just remember that they will be leaving soon and be glad they are staying else where for the night. We found the guests who stayed the night to be quiet and friendly. The hike up to the rooms is steep so as long as you go into the experience expecting that you won't be taken off guard. The power did go out momentarily our last night but the generators kicked in within seconds and it did not interrupt our dinner. Our 12 year old enjoyed the horseback riding and swim up bar ;-)

    The Glory of Guanacaste

Raw and wild are the only ways to describe this beautiful vacation destination. The cattle ranches and sugar plantations peppering the lush local landscape help to tame the influence of nature’s unrestrained growth. Pumas, sloths, and hundreds of other exotic species roam the breathtaking landscape inside the Rincon de la Vieja National Park. Inside restaurants with thatched roofs, local culinary trends mix Nicaraguan food and Costa Rican flair to create unforgettable flavours.

    Exotic Weather

Guanacaste’s climate differs from the rest of the country. The province experiences a minimal amount of rain for much of the year. Long stretches of dry heat from November to April attract many visitors who are trying to escape cold North American winters. Precipitation picks up a bit from May to October. During this time, crystal beads of rain drip poetically on the necks of thick, green leaves. This hidden paradise of forests and waterfalls is the perfect place to escape to any time of the year.

Plan Your Stay in a Lush Wonderland

Imagine a stack of page-turning books and a fruity cocktail beside you on an untouched stretch of sand. Your only care will be whether or not to take another sip or get up to do a little sightseeing. Let the thought of touring the Nosara Wildlife Rescue, the Palo Verde National Park, and Tenorio Volcano National Park inspire you to leave the beach blanket behind for a little while. Join the many visitors who grab Guanacaste North Pacific Coast car rentals to tour limestone caves inside Barra Honda National Park. If you start missing your beach blanket, you can always squeeze more sun into your itinerary on visits to Playa Avellanas, Playa Samara, and Playa Conchal.
