“lovely resort despite renovations”
This hotel was recently bought by Westin, and is undergoing extensive renovations. That being said, the renovations did not affect the quality of our stay one bit. The food was very good, room was pretty big and very comfortable, pool area was beautiful, service was great, beach was amazing.
“Fun Family all Inclusive”
Our family of four (kids ages 10 & 13) had a fun time at this hotel the first week in April. We took advantage of the helpful concierge to make dinner reservations before arrival. When we did get there, she helped get us a great room by the pool and ocean in the villas. This all inclusive had great activities for adults and kids (we didn't use the Kids Center, just the Activities center by the pool) like ping pong, billiards, origami, water aerobics, biking, and more. I especially recommend the cocktail, tequila and coffee tasting! Staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very nice. There was a nice variety at the buffet, and we loved the restaurant by the pool; great ceviche. Watch out for very rare beef - my husband got sick one night and we think it was due to that. Unfortunately when we were there it was red tide, so we couldn't swim in the ocean. The beach is public, so be prepared for vendors to hit you up when you leave the Westin property.
“Nice, but won't return”
The facility is very nice and the staff all very friendly and helpful. Pool area too crowded and not enough chairs. Maid service in the room erratic - forgotten towels, coffee supplies, etc. Biggest problem is getting dinner reservations if you are on an all-inclusive program. They want you to eat at the buffet even if the restaurants aren't full, which makes you feel cheated. Very expensive!
“Happy times”
Upon check in we were taken to a room that was already occupied. This was immediately corrcted, but left a questionaable first impression. Everything went wmoothly thereafter, however.

HOTEL A LITTLE DATED. HOTEL ROOMS AND GROUNDS NEED UPDATE AND CLEANUP. RESTAURANTS WERE FINE, SEVVICE WAS VERY GOOD AND FRIENDLY, FOOD VERY GOOD. GOLF COURSE VERY GOOD.HOTEL SEEMED TO BE PRESENTED AS BEACH FRONT,BUT NO SUCH. BEACH WAS INVADED BY PEDDLERS,WAS DIRTY AND VERY UNINVITING.
