I can’t say enough about the four seasons in general. You really get what you pay for, with top notch customer service and amenities. Not my first stay at a four seasons property and they gave me a significant upgrade to a wonderful room with its own plunge pool. This place is a dream. It was very hard to leave. So many free activities, 24 hour service, amazing hospitality and 5 awesome restaurants to choose from. The really did it all with this property. I am very happy four seasons customer and I will continue to stay at their properties ever chance I can. This resort is in the quiet area of peninsula Papagayo and if you’re look to recharge this is your spot. Peace and serenity defines this. We did a scuba excursion through the resort, enjoyed all the good foods and two beautiful beaches surrounding the resort. This a must stay place!!!

A true gem
This is a truly spectacular resort with two amazing beaches. Everyone was so friendly -- the reception, the concierge, the restaurant & beach staff, golf cart drivers...they go above and beyond to make you feel like a valued guest. We saw several reef sharks as soon as we started snorkeling at Blanca Beach and soooo many colorful fish. We stayed in one of the canopy suites, and our driver David pointed out a family of howler monkeys relaxing in the tree outside our bungalow. We stopped and took a ton of photos of these beautiful & intelligent creatures. The tacos at La Bahia restaurant (fish + carne asada) were so good we had them 3 days in a row! We've been lucky to stay at a handful of Four Seasons properties around the world, and this one was definitely one of the best. Muchas gracias!

The property is beautiful. Their location can’t be beat. Staff anticipates your every desire. Fresh ice in our room when we returned every evening and slippers by the bed are just two examples. Hardest part of my day was deciding which beach to go to. Worth every penny and we spent lots of them!

Not worth the money
My family and I were so excited to stay at the Four Seasons Peninsula Papagayo, but were really disappointed with our stay. It was definitely not a 5-star experience. The good: Peninsula Papagayo is a beautiful place (at least during the rainy season, when the forest is green and verdant, but apparently it is way different during the dry season). Having two beaches onsite is a plus, and the food and towel service at the beaches was excellent. The not-so-good: the rooms are dated and spartan (we were in a 2-room treehouse suite with plunge pool), and definitely do not give off a $1,500+ per night vibe. They were more like a $400/night suite at a mid-level Marriott. I definitely expected more upscale decor for the price, and the pool should have been heated. The food at the resort is ok (but sometimes not even good) and way overpriced. Unfortunately, given its remote location, you are pretty much limited to the on-site restaurants, which have limited menus, so it gets old quickly. The spa service was good, but, again, the facilities are dated and definitely not 5-star. I was also taken aback when they tried to upsell me during my $400 spa treatment ($25 extra for aromatherapy??? $35 extra for foot-cooling lotion??? Really???). The activities are also expensive and leave a lot to be desired. Definitely not worth the money! Concierge did not do a great job following up with scheduling activities, and we often had to call back to check on them. Service was hit or mis

Great getaway in Costa Rica
Awesome golf course, comfortable room layouts and impeccable service from the staff. The terrain around the resort is incredible to look at. The beaches aren't the best I've ever been on, but still great to lounge around on all day. Really had a hard time leaving here. The hotel facilitated our COVID testing in our room so getting back to the US was a breeze.

We stayed here 4nights to celebrate my hubby’s 40th bday. The staff go above and beyond to accommodate your requests. Property is top notch with plenty of activities to do. Food is excellent. It’s the dream
Four seasons Papagayo es definitivamente el mejor hotel en Costa Rica. La ubicación de la propiedad es exclusiva y privilegiada. El hotel se encuentra entre dos playas de aguas calmadas y todo aquí inspira tranquilidad. El servicio es de lo mas top del mundo (como se espera de un four seasons) y la comida es de altísimo nivel. Las habitaciones están extraordinarias y no tengo un mal comentario en toda mi estancia de este asombroso lugar!
