This was a convenient hotel for my road trip, right off I-85. Decent parking. Good shower. The hotel is older but in decent shape. The bed was too soft but I slept well. I got a very cheap rate, and it was worth what I paid. You get what you pay for. I would stay there again. The free Breakfast was good. : )
If you are spending time in Greenville I can't think of any reason to not stay at the Hampton. This hotel is in the perfect location to enjoy the park and downtown. We stayed in a river view room and it was awesome.

"The room was excellent but the lobby was ordinary."
The room was excellent; very clean and spacious. We enjoyed the large, glassed in shower in the bathroom. The lobby was very ordinary and bland. It was sort of depressing. It needs more plants and more color; perhaps more colorful furniture. We were disappointed with the lobby.

I stayed on the 1st floor and the room was clean to my liking. The only complaint I have is that the walls, or ceiling in this case, are very thin and I could hear everything in the room above me. Not uncommon, but if I had to come up with a complaint, then that would be it. Otherwise, it was a good stay at a reasonable price.
