“ACC Championship Weekend”
Clean. Spacious. Comfortable. Elegant. Convenient. We always enjoy coming here.
“Short trip away”
We are local to this resort. We make the short trip to get away. We always have a good time at the pool and spa.
“Nice Getaway”
The Grandover is definitely worth checking out. It's clean and comfortable and the amenities are lovely. It's a solid four star and good value for the price.
“Can't wait to go back”
Very upscale with wonderful staff. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Great place to go to relax and be pamperd. Next time, I am going to the spa!
“great relaxing get-away”
I met a high school friend at the Grandover for some relaxation and catching up. The staff was friendly and attentive and the facilities delightful.
“A Beautiful Gem”
Beautiful and spacious room. I arrived very late (around 10pm), and only stayed one night, so I can't give an exhaustive review. The room was huge, the bathroom was spacious, and I had a great view of the golf course...which I didn't realize until I woke up. The bathroom had a volume control that allowed me to hear the TV while taking a shower. The room was nicely cooled when I arrived.
“beautiful getaway”
hotel location/surroundings are just beautiful. Room clean and comfortable. Bar area and lobby very impressive. Didn't get a chance to eat there but will on our next visit. Definitely recommend this hotel.
“Nice but a little pretentious”
The Grandover is a nice hotel, and it comes with a lot of conference space, but it is definitely a little pretentious. They try a little too hard to make you think you are somewhere besides the suburbs of Greensboro. The pool/spa area are really nice, and the lobby is quite impressive, but it isn't really located conveniently to anything in Greensboro.
“Like Pulling teeth”
A group of adult (youngest in her 30's) female friends hold our 2nd annual one night get away at Grandover. Room was comfortable and spacious. Experience at the Hot Tub is where they lack. Hot tub is extremely hot. We couldn't even put our feet in. So I called the front desk and was told that code required them to keep the temp at 104 degrees. I explained to them that it had to be hotter. I was told code was code & there's nothing they could do. Then a couple came down and stated they had already complained 2 hours earlier. I called again and asked them to take the temp. Maintenance and the desk clerk showed up. Maintenance check the skimmer it showed 104, then we asked him to put the thermometer in the tub, it registered 108 degrees. The desk clerk had her hand in the water and stated "my hand couldn't have raised the temperature by 4 degrees". We explained to her that her hand had nothing to do with it. Finally they let some of the water out, refilled and it was fine. Then around 12:30 a.m. maintenance came to tell us it's time to get out. They gave us 10 min. 2 min later another maintenance guy came out and yelled at us "ladies it's time to leave now!" He could clearly see we were already gathering our belongings to leave. I'm a 40 something year old adult. I paid to stay there and s/b allowed to use the hot tub as long as I so desire. Breakfast good no buffet. Waitress efficient not too friendly. Our annual event will no longer be at Grandover.
