“Very good service”
I was really excited that my room was exactlly what I had asked for and was ready when I arrived. The front desk people were absolutely the best. They were friendly, informative and ready to serve.
“Nice place, inexpensive compared to others nearby.”
Not elegant, but good basics and value. Close proximity to Piedmont-Triad (Greensboro), NC, airport. The big high-buck chains are also close and have more amenities, but once I'm asleep, I don't care. Good value at the Fairview Inn.
“Not impressed”
Hotel room was sparse but clean and spacious. Nice TV and working mini-fridge and microwave. Those are the pros. Now the cons .... Hotel is on the corner of a busy intersection and there was lots of road noise. It is also very near the airport (thus its name) and their was SIGNIFICANT noise every time a plane landed and/or took off. Because rooms are exterior, noise (esp street and parking lot noise) was more pronounced. There was a small coffee maker in the room but no instant coffee packets or filters or even styrofoam cups (bring your own stuff!). Wireless Internet was available but I could not get it to work on my laptop (might say more about the laptop than the hotel wireless service - not sure which was the root cause). Bed was hard, even by hotel standards. No clock in the room. Continental breakfast offered but was very limited in quality and scope. I know this is a budget hotel but I expected a LITTLE bit more for the money.
“Not in a Million Years!”
This was absolutely the worst hotel experience ever!!! The room was not clean. The sheets smelled like they hadn't ever been washed. The towels were at least 10 years old - very thin, hard and small. The beds were also very hard and the pillows were less than comfortable. I looked in the desk drawer for a pen and instead found a box of condoms. The night went from bad to worse. People were running around at all hours screaming and yelling. At one point the cops actually came. To top it off the people in the room next to us decided to have sex at 4am - the walls are very thin! In the morning, I had to go down to the front desk to ask for a hair dryer - he found one and brought it up to my room. The hotel was at least somewhat close to the airport and we only had to make a few turns to get there. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
“Bad Choice in High Point”
The place was not clean at all. The non-smoking room smelled of smoking and had an ashtray. No waste bin, small bath towels, soap smaller than a pat of butter and I did not feel safe.
“Very Un cleanly and bedding was disgusting”
The door lock was broken, the bedding was discolored like some one urinated in it. Bugs in the room. The shower water went from cold to hot without notice, like some one flushed a toilet in another room. Just disgusting. Reminded my daughter of the movie Vacancy.
“Never going back”
The room looked like a child had renevated it the ceiling was bulged out from obvious water damage. While eating my pizza I went to get another peice and discovered a roach crawling in the box. That was not the only roach I saw during my stay. The towels were so scratchy my skin hurt when I was done drying off. The bed. Was as hard as a rock. Free wifi was so weak it was not usable. Terrible stay will not go back
