“Can't wait to go back!”
At first sight the hotel looks to be in need of paint and care on the outside. Don't let that fool you. The hotel staff are the best you could ever hope to find. The food is first rate and you get more than enough. The rooms are small but comfortable, and the large park across the street is wonderful. most important is the bus stop right in front of the hotel. a wonderful base to travel about during the day and return to at night.
“Nice comfortable hotel”
Nice comfortable hotel. Clean rooms conveniently located on bus route to Glasgow. Walking distance to Rutherglen. Very friendly helpful staff.
“Friendly and Quaint”
Tghe hotel had a family feel to it and they treated us as family while there. They met our needs and looked out for us sending us tea and bicuits after returning to the hotel. The breakfast was good and there was good service- avery nice way to start the day.
“Not impressed with upkeep of hotel, door didn't even close without looking door.”
A rather plain, seemingly run down hotel, that needed certain parts updating. Full Breakfast on a postive was very good meal. Hotel seemed to be in a not very nice area of Rutherglen. There was a 21st party that was on the night I stayed, luckily I was back just after it finished at 1am, but lots of kids of that age around the entrance to the hotel, milling around. Not the sort of place I would want to stay with my wife, but was okay for my overnight stay.
“oh dear”
We found it difficult finding the hotel. We had GPS and it took us to a different location. When we found the place, our first look at the hotel from the outside I was scared to walk in. Once inside its cute and cosy. The room seemed clean, but the kettle was ancient, and inside the kettle was about 50 years worth of calcium build up it turned me off a cup of tea. It included breakfast and had free parking.
“Makes Motel 6 in US look like 5 star”
On arrival the room we reserved and had paid for was not available, had to move to another hotel the first night. The hotel amenities were from the 19th century. No closet and no elevator. Lock on door was loose and armore had loose hinges I was able to fix so door would close. Very small room only 1 small desk chair. The continental breakfast and food was good.
