“home away from home”

The front desk staff were very helpful. The room was very clean. The location was ideal (we were attending a conference at Calvin College). The breakfast was surprisingly good...fresh make your own waffles! I would highly recommend this hotel.

“Spacious and practical”

We were quite pleased with this hotel (one of three we visited this past vacation trip). It was easily the most enjoyed of the three in terms of being spacious, clean, and practical: Not luxurious, but very satisfying. We appreciated the two-level effect and the full kitchen (which allowed us to eat some meals at the kitchen table). The breakfast was solid and we did enjoy the light supper on offer one of the three nights we were there. Again, nothing too spectacular, but a nice touch, like the complimentary microwave popcorn. The outdoor pool was nice, if a a tad small for the crowd that descended on it when we were there, but it's hard to argue with a happy full complex. The buildings themselves (sort of two-level 8-unit townhouses) do look a trifle worn, but we had a comfortable repose so I can't complain. The staff were very friendly, even the maintenance man and the cleaning ladies. The hotel is a bit away from downtown and most of the attractions, but it has good highway access and is right in the heart of the SE Grand Rapids shopping strip, including the big mall. We weren't in GR for the local schools or for the Gerald Ford Airport, but they were quite close. Our family came away very pleased with our stay and I would certainly return.

“time away”

Wonderfully spacious place to spend time. Kitchen is very well equipped. Bed mattress OK but not the best. Had to remove the two feather pillows from the bed.

“Good hotel for the price”

I've stayed here a few times because I like the full kitchen and the fairly large units. One complaint I had this time was the plug at the computer desk was so loose that nothing would stay in it. I'd plug in my laptop charger or cell charger and they would just fall out. If I held it in, it worked, but that is not acceptable obviously. Pool was nice and clean though the pebble flooring they use around the pools is starting to come apart.
