“comfortable and clean”
I would reccomend to any one.
“Very comfortable.”
This was our second stay at Gatehouse Suites and both were very good experiences. We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit on 2 floors with living room (w/fireplace) and small, but complete, kitchen. The fireplace burns composite logs only (provided for a small fee at the desk) and the kitchen includes place settings for 4, basic utensils and pots as well as a dishwasher, sink, full fridge, apartment size range and microwave. Paper towelling, dish soap and detergent are also included. Complimentary microwave popcorn is available at the desk. Very quiet, convenient location, full breakfast. All entrances are outside and many require you to climb stairs. (These stairs look a bit weathered but our units were fine.)The outside pool and hot tub were warm - even when it was raining! Staff was friendly and attentive with quick check-in/out.
“Like a Condo”
We recently stayed at the Gatehouse for several nights. We were impressed with the set-up of the buildings as well as how spacious our room was. The added perks of a full sized fidge, storage space & working fireplace were great. Also seemed pretty quiet. The employees were friendly & helpful. Breakfast was good. There isn't much parking by the lobby/ breakfast area. The weather was nice while we were there so we were able to walk. If the weather wasn't so nice it could be a problem.
“Great for q quick night!”
The room was very clean and super comfortable. Both my husband and I wished we were staying for a few days. The layout of the room begged for a longer stay, but we were only there for a quick overnight. Breakfast was good for a complimentary breakfast!
“Cheap and comes with everything!”
for the price per night this place was well worth it. we stayed here because it was cheaper than the hotel my boyfriend's sister had set up for the family for her wedding. the more expensive hotel didn't even get breakfast! the kitchen in the room was awesome came with pots and pans, strainer, silver wear... no joke it had everything!! so much space in the room! the front desk assistant gave me great directions and all te staff was very friendly! I loved this place and plan to stay every time i'm in grand rapids! i recommend this place to everyone! The street the hotel is off of has everything on it! so its easy to find food, gas, party store, grocery store.. everything you need!
“Excellent for the $”
At first the outside was not appealing, but once inside it was great. Disappointed that there was no Bell personell to help with bags upstairs (outside stairs). Also no elevator. Has free breakfast. We had 2 bedroom suite that was very roomy. Would stay again.
“Great Place to stay for a home away from home!”
We stayed here for a night and thought it was great! Its not very far at all from Downtown. The amenities of the room ( the stove, refrigerator, and all provided cups, plates, etc) were such a great addition to your typical hotel room! It was so nice to have all of these plus a beautiful fireplace and sitting area in the room! The bed was comfortable and we had a great stay! Would definitely stay again and recommend to others :)
“More than I expected.”
Friendly staff, beautiful, clean suite. Full kitchen area, including full size appliances (stove, fridge, microwave, dishwasher). Big area for entertaining, office desk for computer. I could easily have just stayed there and lived...it was a perfect experience.
“I wish I could take them with me”
I was very impressed with this hotel. I wish that I could take them with me and have them at all of my locations. Hotel was clean, comfortable, etc. The breakfast was wonderful and staff were great. I didn't want to come back home. Very impressed.
“Homelike Comfort”
Due to storms I missed my flight and had to stay overnight in another city but my husband truly enjoyed his stay at Gate House Suites and sure we will return at a later date. The staff was very accommodating which was much appreciated.
