The location is excellent, very clean, the Lending cabinet is the best idea I’ve seen in a very long time. We did want our room cleaned, stayed ten days but wasn’t done. We got our linens from the front desk so that was alright. The gentleman working the front desk in the evenings… didn’t catch his name is constantly cleaning and had the best personality. He was super helpful and very pleasant. The driveway coming in to the property however… huge potholes and very rough. We would absolutely stay again and plan to on our next visit.

The outsiide of the hotel and property looks a bit outdated. The room itself was unexpectedly fabulous by comparison. Full kitchen, beautiful cupboards, dishwasher, full fridge, super clean, huge soft king bed and pillows that I now want to buy. I slept better than I have in months. The front desk clerk was friendly and I saw him running around working in various locations. We stayed two days for a volleyball tournament anx it was very affordable, especially considering it was GVSU graduation weekend.

The staff here are amazing! If it’s broke, David from the front desk will fix it. Pay that man more! The room was very clean, the bed was so comfy, the pool was well taken care of. There is a cute lending cabinet and snack room in the lobby. There’s a basketball and volleyball court in the back that teenagers were playing on. So wholesome. Stay here and you won’t regret it.

Customer service was A-1, Friendly, very accommodating. We love this hotel. Will always stay here if I am in the area. Cleanliness, conference rooms, kitchens and stove, full size refrigerators . Chlorine in pool does not burn your eyes. Wish they had a hot tub. Overall wonderful stays every time we visit. I love the prices!!!

I had to switch to 3 rooms because the curtains do not close all the way and there are parking lot lights that blare in, then the next room did not have a TV that worked, the last room also had light issues but I was not willing to change rooms again. It was clean, but the room was noisey because of the furnace coming on and off.

Great night stay by the airport
Easy check in and very nice studio room. Was a little hot at night even when I tried to turn down the heat.

Not What You Read About Online
This hotel is in need out a major upgrade. It’s tucked away in the back of a parking lot, lighting of the sign was non-existent. The inside area was clean, but dated. The staff was real nice and very friendly. The rooms were clean, but very much in need of upgrading. The pool was a hot mess, displaying a picture online of a hot tub, then seeing that the hot tub had been tiled over. The door to get out of the pool area didn’t work and there are no signs indicating that a red button (that appears to be for emergencies), needs to be pressed and held for the door to unlock. The halls smelled of cannabis and a nasty fish scent. I was not at all impressed with the hallways and elevator areas. Also, there was no hot breakfast as it states online and the kitchen had no stove, as I was told by the front desk. So, the food items I had purchased to heat in the oven, went right in the trash. Again, friendly staff, but lousy location and terrible amenities.

Candlewood Suites is very convenient if traveling through Gerald Ford International Airport. My room was very neat and clean and very reasonably priced. There was a slight issue upon arrival with my reservation, however, the manager very quickly and cheerfully resolved the matter. Very nice one night stay.

We set thermostat at 75. Never got above 72. Did laundry....then found both dryers broken, so we were left with wet clothes. Both treadmills in exercise room inoperable. One of the two elevators did not work. Floor indicator in elevator not working....safety issue. No safety grab handle in tub/shower. Worst place I've stayed in a long time.

Very nice facility. We stayed the night before an early flight out. The shuttle driver was right on time and very polite. Only thing we didn’t expect was the daily charge for leaving our car there.
