I don’t know for sure that it was unsafe but there were cars outside that were blasting music at 1:30 am and noisy people in the hallway. The hotel listing said they will never charge a pet fee but I was charged for my pets. The staff barely greeted me when I walked in the door and made no mention of breakfast or the times.

It is nice having the Motel near Fonner Park. There is a wonderful little restaurant next to it called Tommy’s that is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It has good food at a great price.

No one was at the front desk when we arrived. Waited 30 mins for the receptionist to show up (she said she was fixing a TV for a customer). I’m not sure why she wouldn’t take the phone with to fix a TV. Rooms are old and in need of an update. You would get the same quality at motel 6.

I loved the convenient location and friendliness of the staff. I made a comment to the front desk and she contacted the owner and a solution was immediate! We will always recommend this Travelodge for your stay in Grand Island. And it was right next door to a wonderful diner-style restaurant. Enjoyed our visit!

Very nice
From the friendly check in to awaking (no breakfast, yet), this has been a very good experience. The room is well appointed and clean, the beds are comfortable, and everything in the bathroom works well.

I left a very expensive phone charger with The Brodstone logo and my name in permanent marker plugged in by the bathroom sink and the hotel staff are saying that they never found it. Very disappointed in humans and how they can live with taking someone else's property.

Older Hotel that needs updating. Even with multiple lamps the lighting was too dim to read a book. There were no extra outlets for electronics without moving furniture. The bathroom counter was extremely low, light in shower/toilet room was dim and connected to a very noisy fan. The ceiling in bathroom was in need of patching as was a wall in the sleeping area. If you tried to lay in bed and watch TV, the tv was difficult to see as it was small and sat low on the stand. The breakfast was a very high carb offering. For those dealing with Diabetes/Pre-diabetes there was not one thing I could eat; very disappointing. The staff was friendly and the bed was comfortable.

OK, but very basic.
The hotel is clean but needs some updating. The plumbing sings, I tried to adjust the toilet but other rooms were singing as well so it was of little use. The lamp shades look like they were fished out of a dumpster, (I wish I'd taken a picture) the computer chair was worn and uncomfortable, but it worked. There was a hole in the window screen so when I opened the window for some fresh air we got a lot of flies in the room. It's an OK place to stay but they really need to do some maintenance and upgrades.

We checked in very late as we were traveling across the country. The woman at the desk not only was very helpful but she was so pleasant. If I lived closer, I'd stay there again, just because of her. Usually staff that late at night are rude or make you feel you are interrupting their evening. Not this lady. She was great! Tell her thank you give her a raise!

$189 was insanely expensive for this hotel. The whole place is supposed to be non smoking but our room reeked of cigarette smoke. The tv wouldn’t work. The two front desk people were lovely and very helpful- one of them even came to our room to fix the tv which worked for about 20 minutes and then stopped working again. The area is loud and the place is dirty. The only positive thing was the front desk individuals.

Problems but potential
Staff were nice, but bathroom was old and the shower was kind of gross. The bathroom light was very loud and the light kind of pulsated. The rest of the room was pretty good. The breakfast was very meager and confusing. It took us a while to find the juice, which was in small cups. There was dry oatmeal but no hot water. Nothing was labeled. It had waffles and biscuits and gravy, which were the best aspects of the breakfast. Anyway, the place felt over priced for the condition but with a few tweaks it could be great.
