good stay, very friendly and good breakfastPosted 14-Oct-2014
Pros: the friendly services, pool and hot tub, free breakfast.
Cons: better wifi in the room
Location: the mall and easy drive to the highway
This is a good place to stay for a short period, good for the children, nice pool park and hot tub. We had a good time there and enjoy the breakfast as well. Our room is close to the pool, which is convenience to go to play in the fitness room, pool and hot tub. At the same time, it is a little noisy before 11pm. Will come back later.

dont even bother booking this onePosted 13-Oct-2014
Pros: did not like this hotel at all
Cons: staff, hotel cleanness, update the hotel.
Checking clerk was more concern about her facebook than costumers, the internet was not working when i brought that to her attention her response was that they had issues all week, did not offer to move me to another room where internet was available, there was internet at the lobby. Room upkeep was bad need to be renovated, water damage on the walls, cigarette burns on the carpet. broken tiles in the bathtub area.

Nice rooms. Hallways need new carpet. Make hotel seem dirty, but rooms very clean. Great place for little kids( pool) all hotels in area high when you see what other areas cost.

HJ overnight stayPosted 7-Oct-2014
Pros: The pool area has a hot tub, pool, water slide, and kids water park.
Location: The location is convenient for the Grand Forks airport, and is close to the interstate, which makes it easily accessible for getting to shopping areas
We stayed overnight at this hotel. Our room needed to be updated and carpet replaced, but everything worked, it was quiet, and the pool area would be great for young families.

Pros: Free breakfast
Cons: More staff on at front desk
Room felt dirt and hotel overall was not clean. Breakfast layout should be more inviting. They should put bill under door so no need to go to front desk.

Musty and DirtyPosted 2-Oct-2014
Cons: A complete overhaul
Location: The "Columbia Mall" is about 4 miles away close to the University. We ended up staying at another hotel close to the mall.
The first room they showed as smelled of smoke and mildew....we requested another room, which was hardly better. The door would not stay shut, and the other door facing the parking lot did not fit properly. As it was my daughter and myself, we did not feel safe at this hotel at all. We left and went to another clean and safe hotel. When I called to say we would not be returning, they said they would give me a "early checkout rate". I have yet to see the refund.

Worst hotel I ever stayed in.Posted 1-Oct-2014
Location: Good location
The room was very unclean. The tub had hairs in it and the grout around the tiles in the shower was black. The black out curtain on the window had holes, you could see light through through from the parking lot when the lights were out in the room. The. sheets had holes in them. I realize the hotel is older, but big difference between old and rundown & dirty. I will not stay there again, the pictures online are deceiving. Didn't bother complaining to the front desk because the girl there didn't even bother asking how our stay was and obviously didn't care. I think some proper training could be in order there. The continental breakfast was gross! Check out room #203, that's the room we had and see for yourself.

Do not stay here!Posted 29-Sep-2014
When I arrived, I realized that I had made a huge mistake. This is more akin to a motel than a hotel. The carpets in the main area were dirty, it smelled gross, the couches in the lobby area were filthy. All in all, I would NEVER stay there again, we had a two night stay and I did not stay another night. I would NEVER recommend this to anyone. You truly get what you pay for. Upgrade to another hotel....and run!

Convenient for shopping - pool area very nicePosted 22-Sep-2014
Room was adequate for a short stay. If you travel with kids, they would love the pool area.

Hotel needs some renovation work.Posted 4-Sep-2014
I'll start by saying the hotel staff was great, very accommodating. Many of the common areas smell musty/moldy (apparently this hotel had water damage). The room we were assigned initially smelled awful. We requested a room change and were accommodated. The second room was better, but not great. The bathroom had many moldy areas in the tub area and still had an undertone of mildew. The pool area is adequate, but does require a significant renovation. Overall, we will likely choose an alternative hotel on our next visit unless many renovations/upgrades are made in order for this hotel to be up to par.
