“A very relaxing island”
The Westin was located on a very nice stretch of beach. The pool area was stunning. It was quiet but not boring. The beds were most comfortable, we slept great every night. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The Sunday Brunch was the best, a must do!
“What a great place”
The hotel was located on a nice part of Seven Mile Beach. Would suggest in renting a car to see around the island. The driving was not bad.
“Great Place to Stay in Grand Cayman”
The hotel staff were friendly & helpful. We dined two nights at the Cafe Havana, the food was great. The hotel and grounds were well kept, our room was clean and very comfortable. I liked the hotel location-Seven Mile Beach is lovely. I would definately go back!
“wonderful hotel”
Just returned from a six night stay with my 3 kids ages 15, 13 and 4. We had a wonderful time. The staff were extremely friendly, beds were indeed "heavenly" and the beach was fantastic. Bring plenty of money with you because Grand Cayman is expensive. Breakfast cost around $18 per person ($9 for my youngest child) for the buffet, but that's the price you pay for being on a wonderful beach! The stingray city tour was a great experience. Rum Point was a nice litle hangout. All in all we had a great time and would highly recommend the Westin.
“Perfect fit”
The Westin Casuarina is in a perfect spot on seven mile beach. My husband and I stayed for 5 nights in early July 2009 and can't wait to return. We had an oceanside room on the 5th floor above the treeline with a great view of the ocean. The room was spacious and clean with a generous sized bathroom. The westin casuarina might not have all the grandeur of the neighboring ritz carlton, but the size of the hotel is just perfect as you can get to any room within a minute or two rather than taking 15 minutes to get to everything. Casa Havana was one of the best meals we've had and the red sail snorkle tour to sting ray city that the hotel set up for us was breathtaking. The only downside may have been the exchange rate- everything costs about 20% more than it would be in US dollars, but all the food we had on the island was spectacular.
“Wonderful hotel”
Thought that the Westin was really nice. Beach was amazing. Service was good - concierge, reception, front desk. Need to be able to serve at pool restaurant on a more efficient basis. Overall we would return to the Westin.
“Excellent in every way.”
The Westin on Grand Cayman is a beautiful hotel. The location is amazing: right on Seven Mile Beach and very spread out. A great beach for swimming and taking long walks. The water is calm and crystal clear and the sand is soft and white. We enjoyed snorkeling right off the beach. The management and staff are first-rate. The rooms are clean and very comfortable with good quality furnishings and strong air-conditioning! (which we love!) Food is a little expensive but is of very good quality. If you're looking for a excellent hotel directly on a long stretch of beach, this is the place. We will be back.
“Beautiful Hotel”
Great hotel...our other hotel was closed because of Hurricane Dean and we found no damage what-so-ever to the Westin Hotel and were able to book on the spot. It was very comfortable and the staff very friendly. The water was nice and hot and we were able to turn the A/C down nice and cold. The beach right out front was beautiful, the pool outstanding, and some snorkeling available right out back. Restaurant right in front of hotel "Good Eats" was awesome - went every day of our trip. Sting Ray city a must. You can book across the street also. Bonus- for your turndown, you get the Tortuga Rum cakes on your bed.
“Can't wait to go back!”
We had a great time at the Westin Casuarina Resort & Spa. We highly recommend this hotel. The staff was over accommodating and the cleanliness of the hotel is over the top.
“Absolutely Wonderful”
We went to the Westin on our honeymoon, and it was better than we could have imagined. When they found out it was our honeymoon, they sent us sparkling wine and chocolate covered strawberries, and gave us complementary turn-down service every night complete with 2 small rum cakes (a Cayman specialty). We did not meet a single staff member that was not friendly, and our view was absolutely incredible. Our room was clean and our bed was definitely "heavenly". The staff at the concierege desk were VERY helpful with giving us ideas of where to go to eat. I wish we could have stayed for another week, but it was a good thing we got out when we did with Hurricane Dean bearing down on us! On a side note, if you are wanting to splurge on a really nice meal, I suggest the Grand Old House... the food was excellent, and we were seated by the ocean with a beautiful view of the sunset.
