“A trip to Paradise”
Perfection, it was very beautiful and well kept. Staff was excellent and friendly. Even the other guests were all extremely friendly and polite.
“get away vacation”
Staff was so friendly. Went out of their way to make our stay memorable. The staff was from all over the world and each one had a story to tell. You could tell they loved their jobs. Service was excellent. Was a little more expensive than anticipated but was well worth it. I will save my money and go to the Ritz every other year for vacation instead of going yearly. Can't wait to go back!!!
“Stupendous!”
Everyone at the Ritz-Carlton were wonderful! They did so much for us. Everything was clean, the service was out of this world, and you were treated like a part of their family.
“Impressive”
Visited the Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman for one week during November 2011. Everything lived up to expectations, we had a wonderful stay. Only little problem experienced was with the concierge who were consistently slow answering the phone but this has been reported to them and I am sure will be addressed. The hotel is situated right in the middle of seven mile beach with direct access onto the most wonderful clean soft white sandy beach. There are plenty of very good restaurants in the near vicinity if you don't want to eat in the hotel however the restaurants in the hotel itself are excellent. Outside the hotel everything is very clean and it feels very safe walking about. It is approximately 50 mins to one hour to walk into George Town or you could take a local bus or taxi. Taxis tend to be quite pricey in Grand Cayman. We would definitely return to this hotel.
“We splurged and left happy!”
The Ritz-Carlton on Grand Cayman offers first-rate service and quality accommodations on one of the prettiest beaches in the world. Expect to be pampered...and expect to pay for it. The hotel itself looks like every other Ritz-Carlton in the world; the design scheme is colonial elegance rather than tropical resort. All of the resorts on Seven-Mile Beach are very close together and just off the main road that runs around the perimeter of the the island. The Ritz actually straddles the road with an "art gallery" bridge spanning the road. With the piped in music, you don't even realize you're crossing the road. I highly recommend staying on the beach side of the hotel if possible. It's marginally more expensive but much better value. The "garden side" has no real views. We had a tremendous five days at the resort, but it is expensive. As of December 11, a poolside beer is about $8.50 and rum drink about $17 with the 15% tip included on the bill. Luckily, there is a supermarket and several liquor stores only a five-minute walk away. That helped keep breakfast and sunset bottles of wine within reason.
“Outstanding Resort”
Everything from the time we checked in until checkout was spectacular. Outstanding service. Professional and courteous staff. THis was a wonderful vacation. Would highly recommend staying at the Ritz.
“paradise found”
this vacation was great. the island was beautiful and you felt very safe at all times. the hotel was first class and i really dont have any complaints to share. hope this helps.
“Bring your $$CASH$$ and walking shoes”
We just returned from our trip last nignt, and as usual the Ritz did not disappoint the property was immaculately maintained. I did note that the staff at this Ritz was not quite as attentive as the staff at other Ritz Carltons, I did miss that. When we arrived no one explained the layout of the property to us we had to figure it out on own. We had a garden view room and it was very far from the beach if you have difficulty walking watch out there are 2 different buildings I was not aware of that. When we were checking out we saw that other guests were given brief tours. The beach and pools are wonderful and the property is beautifully maintained. Most of the food we had was quite tasty but expensive. Stay away from the Sushi it was not tasty especially for the price. The Spa is beautiful but it was almost impossible to get an appointment we were not able to get an appointment for any treatments until our final day at the resort. Overall I would recommend the hotel.
“Best Hotel on SMB”
The service is exceptional at the front desk, beach, restuarant, housekeeping, bars. Can't go wrong here.
“Grand Cayman's Best Hotel”
We were upgraded from one of the smallest rooms in the hotel to one of the largest on the beachfront before we even arrived, an especially extraordinary upgrade since the staff was unaware of my husband's birthday before we arrived and because we had never stayed at this hotel. Extraordinary service including a surprise cake and singing by staff members at poolside to celebrate my husband's birthday. Every member of the staff was pleasant and accommodating. Will definitely return next year!
