“Best vacation ever”
We stayed at the reef for a week and it was the most fun we've had on a vacation. The rooms and view were fantastic, the food was very good, we liked that they had a different theme each night. The staff was the best, everyone was so nice and friendly especially the bartenders, they were fantastic! If your looking for a very relaxing vacation then this is the place for you. We want to go back next year!! We went in January and it was alittle windy but still in the mid 80's during the day, but needed a sweatshirt at night sitting out at the bar. We had a great vacation, and the all inclusive was absolutely worth it.
“Reef Resort Recommended”
Great relaxing vacation. Awesome resort in a perfect location. White Sands Water Sports is a great onsite tour company. They do a really good job. The Italian Kitchen next door has awesome foor. Food at the resort is good as well.
“Excellent & Extremely Clean!!”
Nothing against Seven Mile Beach, but if you're looking for quiet time, this is the place. Great rooms and quiet atmosphere with activities and also music to enjoy. Great snorkeling and a great reef just steps from your room. Unfortunately, the wind was a bit strong and made for some larger waves, but overall the place was just great. The good thing about this Island is that you can literally find a great snorkeling place loaded with reefs almost anywhere. Thank you to the folks at The Reef for they're wonderful hospitality. We will definitely come back to Grand Cayman.
“Loved it!”
Very helpful staff, great room, nice facility. We will go back!
“lovely, quiet hotel with amazing snorkeling!”
My boyfriend and I stayed at the Reef hotel for 5 days at the start of November. When we arrived we were upgraded from a normal to deluxe suite. The room was incredibly spacious and very clean, it also had a lovely balcony. The beach is wonderful, and the best snorkeling we did on the island was right in front of the hotel! We saw two sea turtles, and innumerable schools of brightly colored fish just 50 or so feet out. The hotel was very quiet (it was also the off season), there were some families, but mostly middle aged couples: no spring break/bachelor party vibe. The hotel is located on the East End of the island, there are several nature preserves nearby, and it feels a world away from the gaudy strip malls that dominate the Seven Mile Beach area. If you do stay at the Reef, you probably want to rent a car to explore the island.
“Great stay”
Had another great stay at the Reef. The staff was great as usual. The room was nice and clean and everything was in great shape. They were having a pretty bad seaweed bloom while I was there but they had a large crew out every morning trying to keep the beach as clean as possible. It was nice and quiet just like my previous stays which is what I was looking for.
“Great stay at a relaxing resort”
The Reef is not a Hyatt or a Hilton, but that isn't what we were looking for. We wanted quiet, peaceful, clean, and truly a carribean feel. It was well maintained, and felt like a home away from home. Everyone at The Reef was pleasant and cheerful, and went out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant stay. We were only approached once by a salesperson trying to get us to sit down for the review of their "timeshare" option, and the person was a typical pushy salesperson, and finally got the hint. But that only happened once all week. The Reef is NOT conveinient to travelers unwilling to rent a vehicle, it is in a remote part of the island with little nearby ameninties and not many options for food and nightlife nearby. But when I go on vacation, I don't want to be in the middle of the action. I want to be able to go back to a peaceful place and chill after a night out on the town. Which is exactly what I got. It was a perfect respite from the other tourists and busyness of Georgetown.
“non turista location”
clean & comfortable with nearby grocery & liquor store away from the tourist area good food and a friendly staff had a great stay
“The most relaxing vacation by far...”
Amazing place and people! Can't wait to go back!
“Great place to get away from it all”
We loved the Reef. It you want peace and quiet and to be away from the crowds this is the place for you. Everyone there was very friendly and our room was very clean. The pool was nice and the snorkeling was great right there at the resort.
