“A great all inclusive deal - we will definitely be returning.”
This hotel suited us very well - it was everything we wanted. It is situated in a quiet bay and was quiet in the evenings. it was nice to be able to walk along the promenade between San Agustin and Playa D'Ingles after our delicious evening meal. The all inclusive deal is excellent and we could not have wanted anything more. My Husband was convinced there would be some sort of bill at the end of our stay, but there was nothing. I do recommend paying the extra for a sea view room which was delightful and so much better than looking over the carpark at the front of the hotel. On our first day we reported to reception that our shower leaked. On our return to the room that evening a complete new shower unit had been fitted! Excellent service all round. There was a cross section of ages staying at the hotel of several nationalities. Although people must have got up very early to save sunbeds, there was always a good choice around 10.00 am. We will definitely return.
“Great Hotel, Great Location...Book Now”
We had an excellent experience at this hotel, very clean and tidy, great pool and facilities, plenty of activities within the hotel, ideal for all ages. Located by the beach in a very quiet setting with great restaurants at Faro Maspalomas which is a 10 minute taxi ride
“Great hotel with fantastic leisure facilities”
We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel. The highlight was definitley the leisure facilities in particular the pool area. The location was great in that it was away from the dense tourist zone but close enough to easily get to the restaurants at night.

“Very good value for money”
We really enjoyed our stay in San Augustin. The hotel was clean and staff were friendly. There was a large variety of food at the breakfast buffet and the hotel pool was great. Right next to the beach it's in a great location, much quieter than playa del Ingles. On our last day we walked along the beach to the sand dunes which took about an hour. We would definatley visit again.
“I will be go back”
I would certainly recommend a holiday to Gran Canaria. The Hotel we (My wife and 18 month old son) stayed at was the Melia Tamarindos. It was a lovely hotel. The staff were friendly and the service was excellent. It is the sort of place to have a nice relaxing holiday in the Sun. We went all-inclusive and I found this to be a good choice.
“5 Star service 2 star bed”
We booked the hotel based on the 5 star rating and the reasonable price of the hotel. We arrived late and checked in to wake up and discover we had a great view of the parking lot. Being on Gran Canaria is not about the parking lot views, so I went and told the desk we would like an oceanside view. I was told that would mean an extra room charge for the same size room. We paid it and the experience changed for us. Having the oceanside was worth the price, but that brought the cost up to a price I might not have originally booked. So, beware of this. The bed was hard and not comfortable. I gave the bed 2 stars because it took 2 nights for my body to adjust to the bed. It was the same bed as on the non ocean side. What made this hotel great was the excellent staff. They served us very well, were gracious and very helpful. The hotel grounds were excellent as well. The pools were very clean and well maintained and the service poolside was 5 star. The morning breakfast buffet is also a 5 star offering. One more downside to note, there is not high speed wireless internet in the hotel except in the main lobby area. I had work to do and needed it so I was in the lobby every morning. A 5 star hotel needs to offer wireless high speed internet otherwise they will lose customers. We very much enjoyed the hotel and might return, but, based on the bed and the internet would only rate it a 4 star.
“We would go back to this hotel again”
We were lucky to get upgraded to a suite and had a lovely room. We really liked the pool area and the beach is only a few minutes walk away. There are a few nice restaurants in walking distance as well as in Boulevard de Faro (10 min cab ride)
“Melia Tamarindos”
Hôtel agréable: personnel souriant, chambre (sur mer) calme, deux portes de séparation qui protègent des bruits du couloir, buffets petit déjeuner et diner variés et de bonne qualité, pas d'animations extérieures, zone piscine assez grande et propre, bibliothèque, coffre fort gratuit, wifi gratuit dans le hall. Manque une bouilloire dans la chambre... mais je séjournerais volontiers à nouveau dans cet hôtel.

Tres bel hotel, prestations de qualité, beaucoup de raffinement, tres beau jardin, situation en bord de mer idéale au sud de l'île à proximité de la célèbre plage del ingles et des dunes de LAS PALMAS
