“Awesome experience”
I can't say enough good things about the Palliser Lodge and the service. This Lodge is located at a Ski / Mountain bike resort. Just one of the highlights for us was dining at the restaurant on top of the mountain. Excellent food, with a great view.
“Great hotel at a remote mountain”
It exceeds my expectation. I stay here to visit many Canada National Parks. It is not very close, but the for price and quality I'd still recommend it to people. One word of warning though, it is uphill, on small street, and hard to find. Make sure you find it on the map in advance and try to get there before sunset.
“Great place to stay in summer or winter!”
This hotel was a bit tricky to locate as it is out of town and part of larger ski resort. Unfortunately I was unable to locate the street on the town map, the hotel was not listed in the telephone directory and the local people in Golden who we asked had not heard of it. However, the effort taken in locating the hotel was well compensated for by the service we received and the comfort of the accommodation. Our room was nicely appointed, clean and had a balcony that overlooked a lovely valley. Car-parking was in a secure underground carpark, accessible by a lift from the upper levels of the hotel. Staff was very helpful and friendly and assisted me in doing some laundry that had been acculumating. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel.
“Kicking Horse's Palliser Lodge”
The equivalent of a one bedroom apartment with full kitchen. Facilities are relatively new and in very good condition. Rates included secure underground parking (with direct elevator access to room levels), ski-in/ski-out privileges and satellite internet access. Overall a very good travel experience.
“Christmas in Golden”
The hotel was fine, well equipped etc. We had rented a unit with a hot tub. It took 3 different attempts to get our room changed which was dissappointing. The front desk seemed to have problems with keys and knowledge of room types.
“No one around and no instructions”
Loved the place and the setting but there was no one around when we arrived just after 6 pm. We wasted an hour trying to track someone down and get the instructions on how to get our keys. We were told that this was not the first time that something like this has occured.
