The views from our apartment were amazing. The grounds and pool were also amazing. The pool temperature was perfect . The location is also great with easy walk to Coles and surrounding areas. We stayed for 9 nights and the weather was very hot so next time we book , we would ensure that the unit that we stay in had either ceiling fans or A/C. Our unit only had pedestal fans which normally might have been ok but due to the heat, our unit was sometimes very hot. We requested a high floor apartment and the staff at Royal Palm were very accomodating, the views were amazing. We also booked the apartment at a very reasonable price so all in all, we had a great stay and look forward to visiting again.

We did not enjoy our stay here. Booked a “deluxe” two bedroom apartment and it was anything but deluxe. Room extremely old which doesn’t make for an enjoyable stay. Carpet foul, unit smelt musty. No ceiling fans. Broken ceiling light. Despite being advertised as ocean front, you can barely see the ocean. Very deceiving listing. Even though some reviews are good and while there may be some renovated rooms, it’s honestly not worth the gamble. If you get an old room the stay is unpleasant at best. Considering what these units book for per week it’s mind boggling that the owners don’t update the furniture to make the stay more enjoyable. Very greedy. While we were there the gate to the beach wasn’t working so we had to use the highway to access the beach. I can see why their bookings are non-refundable as as soon as people do a little digging they would want to cancel. Don’t waste your money. Many nicer places to stay with the same great location.

We loved our stay at the Royal Palm in a huge 2bed 2bath room on level 13, with AC & carpark space. We could move from beach to pool and waking up to that view was fabulous (tho the black-out curtains couldn’t keep all the morning sun out unfortunately). It seemed a bit old with slow internet but is kept nice & clean. Such a lovely relaxing location & wish we lived closer to stay more often!

Pros - The pool and lounge area is excellent. The pool is deep and spacious, with a water slide and nice hot tub. There is ample seating around the area. - Location is right next to the beach and a great playground and cafe is a short walk away. - Parking downstairs was convenient and easy. - The view (15th floor) was spectacular. - The apartment was well equipped and had internet and foxtell. Cons: - I requested an air-conditioned room. I did not receive communication around this and our room did not have air conditioning. Fortunately, the week we stayed was fairly cool (around 26degrees) most days, so we were able to just keep the doors open a bit. I would not be able to stay in this apartment in summer without air conditioning. - The apartment did not have screens or keyed locks on the windows and doors. This is a hazard for small children, so I ended up using broom sticks ect to jam the doors and windows shut at night to ensure that the kids didn't play around the windows or balcony at night, as we were on the 15th floor. - The lack of screens also meant we could not leave the door open at night to get the cool sea breeze, and have the TV or lights on as a lot of bugs came into the apartment the first night. - I booked a BBQ and gazebo for dinner one night. Two out of four BBQ's were not working, and the lights in the gazebo were also out. - Some parts need updating, such as the checkers pieces are completely falling apart

Unfortunately we feel like we got catfished on this stay. This hotel has an awesome pool area and location, with great views, but is under renovation. They do not tell you this when you book, and then say "we couldn't tell you because it was a body corporate decision". Pretty sure the work didn't just start the day we got there. The lobby area is lovely, and some rooms have been renovated, but not the one we were in. Add to that the carpet is filthy, we had a dodgy bathroom light (that had to have an electrician come in for half way through), no tv remote, a hidden fan/light remote...and then very short reception hours over the weekend to sort anything out. We were eventually offered another (renovated) room, and I called the number to organise. That was a mission in itself. In the end we couldn't move due to it getting booked because my NZ phone didn't connect somehow (we were on site by the pool which I told them but no one sought us out). Then we were offered a "return guest" discount, which I found out is offered to everyone on departure anyway. The customer service is dreadful. I feel for the poor receptionists trying to deal with it all. I spoke to other guests who had similar experiences, some who had managed to get moved. So just be warned, you may get a renovated room...or not. And if you have issues, don't expect much help. Hotels.com has tried to support me with this, but Royal Palm wouldn't offer us any discount etc. Will tell all our friends to stay away.

The unit had bedbugs. We were itching all week & have bites. The unit wasn’t cleaned properly. There was sand on the floor & in the shower recess quite a bit. From the moment we sat on the lounge we were itchy. It was filthy. It belongs on the tip. It was terrible. The pool area & beach is great. We left a day early because we couldn’t stay any longer with feeling itchy all the time. We complained & were told the manager would call us but we haven’t heard a word. We were so disappointed with our stay & lack of customer service. So much for covid deep cleaning. This problem needs to be addressed & they shouldn’t rent out 7B to anyone until it’s fumigated & cleaned properly. There was no picnic ware for the bbq either which is located near the pool. No breakable items near pool understandably. They should at least offer a refund for leaving early.

We stayed with another family for a week in Jan 2022. Our room was 2bed deluxe, it was very ‘lived in’, definitely needed a good clean & update items such as clothes horses (rusty & broken) light fittings full of dead bugs, loose power points in the wall, odd containers in the kitchen- some missing lids, discoloured Tupperware, small & well worn leather lounge. Don’t be fooled that this is, or similar to a serviced apartment. Rooms are not serviced, very minimal condiments such as coffee/tea. I had my kids (3 month old & a 2.5yr old), we were given a room with no bath, no air con & very slippery tiles throughout the apartment. The building also has permanent residents who always seemed very grumpy as if we were invading their home & lifestyle. HOWEVER, the pool was fantastic! The location was perfect, very close to the beach & Currumbin inlet. Great little cafe a short walk from the apartment. I did love the undercover parking although the spaces are very small & my Jeep didn’t fit in some. The room had a huge tv with all channels, foxtel, netflix & DVD player dvds. Our friends room was a 4bed apartment, much nicer and more modern than ours, it had baths & aircon, a lovely big lounge & tv. Although their doors to the balcony didn’t lock so was extremely stressful with their 3 kids (all under 7) who could easily access the balcony… not what you want when you’re on the 13th floor! Our friends said they would return, we probably wouldn’t.

We stayed in the most amazing three bedroom apartment. Ideal for a large family but I’d also love to come back and stay with friends. The beachfront location is perfect with beautiful views and walking distance to a great park, cafes and Coles.

Girls Weekend in Palm Beach
Fabulous location for a girls weekend away. Cheese and wine on the balcony overlooking the beautiful beach, then a walk to an amazing restaurant for dinner and cocktails. Apartment had everything we needed.

Perfect Location and Great View
I love the facilities especially the pool and the tennis court. The grounds are very well maintained and the gardens give the apartment a tropical feel. The location is great. The surf is right out the front and the calm water is just around the corner via a lovely walk along the beach or along the road. We had a great view of the ocean from the room. The room was very clean. The only downside is that the apartment did not have air-conditioning or ceiling fans. Since the bedrooms were on the Eastern side, they got the full morning sun, and it was impossible to sleep-in because the bedrooms were way too hot. The only relief was obtained from 2 small pedestal fans. With the addition of air-conditioning the aprtment would be perfect.

Excellent location, right on the beach, flagged areas, walking distance to great cafes and Coles. And short drive to pines shopping centre. Pool area pretty and reception accommodating. Bedrooms faced onto the Highway, was a bit noisy at times, room wasn’t thoroughly cleaned but still neat and tidy. Overall very good.
