“Very Relaxing!”
We really enjoyed our stay. We were in one of the King Deluxe rooms (Room 1) in the original building. The room was cozy, the bed was comfy, the complimentary wine was nice, and we felt like we had plenty of room to relax. Breakfast is great, but keep in mind that service doesn't start until 8:30. We were left wishing it was served earlier since we were out and about earlier than that on most mornings.
“Wish we had planned to stay longer”
We only planned one night at Gaige House in our tour of Napa/Sonoma. We would have liked to stay longer. Very relaxing atmosphere and very hospitable. We highly recommend the poolside room and/or the neighboring forest view room.
“Hotel which matches perfectly its surroundings”
A quiet, small hotel, impeccably kept in the middle of Sonoma Valley. A perfect place from which to visit the multitude of vineyards in the area and across - taking a wonderfully winding narrow road - to Napa Valley. If you don't want to vista the vineyards, they will come to you. Around 5 pm - most days - there is wine-tasting hour on the ground floor. Morning's breakfasts are very satisfying. In the evening a large containers of cookies appears in the lobby. They go very well with the always available coffee and tea. Many homey touches made a for a very pleasant stay.
“Will Return”
Staff was friendly and helpful from check-in through checkout. The grounds were nice, parking was adequate, the room was comfortable (with the exception of our shower, which was never warmer than room temperature). We mentioned it at checkout and they promised to have maintenance look at it. Walking to dinners locally was nice. If you can handle walking hills, it is a very nice 1.5 mile walk to Jack London State Park from the hotel, almost all uphill. Light European breakfast style is perfect for us.
“Would recommend this hotel to everyone!”
We had such a great time staying at the Gaige House. Their attention to detail was really impressive. We stayed in one of the Zen Suites which was so cozy, comfortable and clean. The granite soaking tub was amazing and the fireplace added a nice touch to our creekside room. The daily breakfast was always freshly made and beautifully presented. And the daily fresh baked cookies were a nice treat after being out most of the day sightseeing and wine tasting. They had a DVD player in every room and a library of DVD's to choose from if you wanted to watch. While we were there, it was very rainy and we did not bring umbrellas, but they had umbrellas for all of the guests to use. The staff at the front desk was always knowledgeable and helpful in where to eat, where to shop and what to see. We really had a wonderful time and we would highly recommend this hotel to everyone looking for a nice, cozy, romantic place to stay.
“Excellent experience”
Everything about this hotel was exactly what I wanted. Beautiful, serene, modern rooms with a luxurious feel, the best bath tub I've ever soaked in, contemplative gardens, pool, hot tub, and deck. Extrordinary breakfast cooked in house with local ingredients. Helpful, knowledgeable staff. Excellent proximity to Sonoma, Napa, and the restaurants of Yountville. I couldn't say anything bad. I will be back soon!
“Will definitely return.....”
This was the most charming stay. It was perfect.
“Zen suite felt like a relaxing trip to the spa evert time we stepped through the door.”
This was by far the best hotel we have ever stayed in and we are pretty seasoned travellers who always choose good hotels. It was relaxing, luxurious, superbly decorated and the breakfast was 5 star. However, above all else, the service was outstanding. We can't wait to return.
“Great Boutique Hotel”
This was a really great hotel. The only problem we encountered, was the first room they put us in was directly below the kitchen, so we were woken up about 6 am. We called the desk and they moved us to an amzing "Zen Suite". It was unbelivable, wish we could have stayed longer because the room was so nice and comfortable. The best part was the japenese soaking tub in the bathroom. We really enjoyed our stay here.
“We will return”
If you enjoy a gourmet breakfast, great coffee, fresh squeezed Orange Juice, fresh baked goods and more, look no further. We plan to return next year during Napa Wineries peak season. the beautifully furnished rooms,,the tranquil grounds, and the helpful and efficient staff made our stay a wonderful. BTW Keep your eyes open for the late night freshly baked cookies!
