We chose the Town House because it has such fab reviews. It looked perfect. And it is a beautiful B & B which is very comfortable and clean. However, we stressed out the landlady because:
a) Apparently, we should have booked parking.
b) When booking on Expedia, I accidentally booked for one person. I wrongly assumed that, because I had booked a double room, it would be for two people. And so when we arrived, the landlady was taken aback that there were two of us and not one. This was rectified by me paying another £14 for the second person.
c) I had not emailed in advance to let her know that we needed a hyper-allegenic bedding. She did change the bedding but, because as she was expecting another check-in, we were made to feel as though we were being a total pain in the neck.
d) She was unhappy that we did not let her know in advance what time we would be checking in. So, I think that in future, she needs email guests in advance with her requirements. Having said that the B & B is very comfortable and breakfast is excellent and so we have given 4 instead of 3 stars.
