“Great Place to Stay!”
This hotel was great. Great value for the price we payed. The room is very spacious with a walk in closet, sofa bed, mircrowave/fridge, and a desk with chair. The room was very clean with marble countertops and cermaic floor. The room was very modern. We had plenty of room for the pack n play for our baby and it didnt get in the way. I didnt have any coins to do some laundry so the front desk clerk went out to her car to get some. The food in the morning was okay, just some donuts, ceral, hard boiled eggs and fruit. The pool was very small but didnt use it so it didnt matter. The hotel is only a 5 min drive from downtown Gettyburg and all the tours are sold at the front desk. I wouldnt go on the Ghost Image Tour, it was a waste of money. We didnt pay a tour because my husband is a history buff and was able to just drive around to each battle site and read the sign to explain what happened. I saw some of the tours go by and realized how big of a waste they really where. One shop downtown across from the Soldiers Musem sold a tour on cd for only 16 dollars, so that might be worth it if you want some info.
“Above average hotel”
We enjoyed our room in Gettysburg but did notice a couple of deficiencies. The tub/shower was tilted toward the inside of the bathroom allowing water to run down the front and back of the tub onto the floor. We had to use extra towels to mop it up. We also wished that the hotel was situated closer to downtown and the attractions. Overall, staying there was a pleasant experience and have no serious complaints.
“I will surely be back if something takes me toward that direction again”
The person at the desk was courteous and very helpful. He gave me all the details I needed about what I could do during my stay. The whole complex was neat and tidy. My room was spacious enough and everything was well arranged. The complimentary breakfast was appetizing. Checking out was quite easy. The receptionist gladly printed directions for me.
“nice hotel, close to downtown Gettysburg and the battlefield”
Nice hotel, basic cont. breakfast. Close to the battlefield via RT 15, and the outlets. The room had a microwave and refridg. We were there for 2 nights during the week.
“Relaxing comfort stay”
I was amazed that when I went to check in, the clerk already was expecting me! She informed me that she placed additional towels and shampoos as per my online request.
“Very nice hotel”
Fast check in. Rates were not too bad. Room was nice. Quiet even though we are right off Rt. 30, which is busy. Breakfast was decent. The pool was very small and lights were not working, but the kids didn't care. Exercise room was small but nice, too.
“Perfect for our stay in Gettysburg!”
My boyfriend and I were looking to get away for my birthday. This really was perfect! Our room was located on the first floor, very close to the breakfast area and pool. The room had a comfy king size bed, a nice sized refrigerator and microwave. The whirlpool tub which was so relaxing to come back to after a bitter cold and rainy day in Gettysburg. Overall we would absolutely stay here again!!
“Convenient to Gettysburg battlefields”
I am allergic to feather pillows and comforters. When we arrived at the hotel, my husband picked up a pillow and thought it was feather. We went to the front desk and asked to have them switched out while we were gone. The manager on duty stated that the pillows and spreads were hypoallergenic. He then went to the back, pulled a pillow out and brought it up to the desk. He showed us the tag that said the contents were feather substitute. We checked our pillows in the room and confirmed that the pillows were hypoallergenic. The clerk at the front desk stated that, if the pillows had been feather, they would go out and get hypoallergenic pillows for us. As for the rest of the stay, room was very comfortable, the area is very quiet as was the hotel. Room was clean. Continental breakfast included hard boiled eggs, muffins, and yogurt. We were very pleased.
“Tara Visits Gettysburg!”
VERY close to the Gettysburg business district, overall the staff was amazingly friendly the hotel was clean and my room was amazing, definitely book here again when I need a room up by Gettysburg. So relaxing after a long 6 hour drive just to get there!!!
“Affordable Gettysburg Getaway!”
Sleep Inn, just down the highway from downtown Gettysburg, proved to be an excellent place for me to stay while visiting the battlefield of Gettysburg and the Museum at the Gettysburg National Military Park. They provided a free Continental breakfast, wifi access, a free Wall Street Journal in the morning, and a wonderfully comfortable, clean room. The sounds of the highway were muffled through the window, so would probably be best to keep the windows closed in order to ensure a good night's sleep. Also the concierge at the hotel desk was very helpful and informative. I got a wonderfully inexpensive rate at this hotel through Expedia.
