The property is very outdated, so if you're looking for a stellar room you're out of luck. The indoor pool was great and allthough small the arcade room was fun for the kids too.

This is definitely an older hotel. No lights in the parking lot which makes one feel unsafe after dark. No extra chain on the door for extra level of security Very old tub which was a slip hazard trying to shower.

Strange Hotel, fine if you're on a tight budget
This hotel is....strange. Our room was very dated, and did not feel clean. The pillows and bedding were odd, and the bed not very comfortable. The walls are PAPER thin - to the point where someone sneezed in the room next to us and my husband said "god bless you" because he thought it was ME sneezing. We did specifically book a room not connected to the pool area because of other reviews I read, so those rooms might be worse smell/sound-wise. It's nice that breakfast is included, it was fine. Getting to our room from the lobby is weird, you have to go through a pair of swinging doors that look like kitchen doors? And go into a weird space that smells like cigarette smoke to get to the elevator or stairs. After we stayed here, we regretted not shelling out the extra cash and staying somewhere nicer. I think this is an okay hotel if you're on a tight budget and need to stay within the Gettysburg area, but if you can afford somewhere better, you should.

Our door latch was broken. The pool area is disgusting, complete eyesore. And we had a cockroach in our bathroom. Sorry, do better.

Pictures on the website were a little more up to date than what our room was. It was a little tired. But it was very clean and staff was very helpful! It had great amenities which outweighed the tiredness. We were there for a family reunion and the tables in the pool area were great!

Great location and hotel.
Excellent place! It’s a big hotel and it was quiet and service was outstanding! Breakfast was very good and everyone was friendly! Definitely would recommend this hotel.

Acceptable if you have low expectations.
Hotel was okay. It shows its age and lack of care though. The carpets throughout the first and second floors were laid improperly so there are parts lifted up where if you arent paying attention you will trip over. The mattresses in our room had what looked like vomit stains on them under the sheets on the sides, our room absolutely reeked of chlorine, granted we were “pool side” on the second floor but you should not be able to smell it with the doors closed and the AC on. Good Luck trying to find an ice machine. The front clerk had us on a wild goose chase only for us to find out there was no ice machine on our floor. The bar and deli are only open for about 4 hours and only on the weekend. The breakfast was lackluster as well. If you just need a place to sleep after touring the battlefields it is acceptable. If you are looking for regular comforts though, look elsewhere.

Huge hotel, very nice. The way it was laid out was really cool.The bed was xxl ... larger then a normal king bed. Went exploring the next morning. They even had an arcade and slot machines.Breakfast was great. Definitely would stay again.

Disappointment of Gettysburg trip
I was contacted a few days after my booking to be told the room that I booked (access to indoor pool) would not be available due to a private party. I was told that I would be compensated by the manager due to the inconvenience. Therefore I accepted the room change. Apparently the staff could not keep up with the mess that the private party made not only in the designated pool area but throughout the hallways. We did not receive maid service throughout our stay even though sign was hung on our door and were never compnsated for our inconvenience claiming that because we booked through a third party that it was not possible. In addition, the outlets in the room were very loose/ hanging out of the wall.

Apple Harvest
Great place, best price for the Apple Harvest Festival weekend. Clean and comfortable, a bit outside of the main part of town, but its and easy 5-10 minute drive to everything in GBurg.

Worst night stay we’ve had in a LONG time!
Possibly the worst stay we’ve had. We booked a pool side room for the kids and was told at check-in that a wedding reception and dance was being held in the pool area that evening with no fore-warning. The band was set up 10 feet from our door and played until midnight. Then the band played their own music until 1:30am while tearing down their equipment. As for the room itself, there was blood on one of the bed covers, so we called and had that changed. Woke up the next morning and saw the yellow stain underneath (see picture). There is mold in the bathrooms. The toilet and sink faucet are both loose and not screwed down. Paint is chipping off the walls and the rooms have a musty smell.

Overall it was an okay stay. Traveled with my sons baseball team to have fun after a long day of baseball to then have the area rented out and all of us were asked to leave. Overall it’s not new or remodeled no nothing stands out and should have know ahead of time there was a National dog show. Would have made accommodations somewhere else.

It was a nice place and a nice stay…but the place smelled like wet dog. We found out later that the hotel was hosting a Gordon Setter Dog Competition? When we asked the front desk why there was so many dogs the guy didn’t know why. We had to figure it out on our own. Sucks if you are allergic to dogs (we weren’t but I’m sure other patrons are allergic). Place was ok and clean but the pool had private parties during most of the days so that was off limits to people who didn’t book a wedding or birthday party or dog show while staying there. By the way, it was weird to turn the corner of each hallway and see the exact same looking dog. Like 30 of them. They all look alike, too so it freaked me out. Oh, and it has arcade too.

Nightmare stay
We ended up leaving early because it was one issue after another. Didn’t even bother to ask for compensation because it wouldn’t have been my time. Stayed here after a weeks long vacation to the beach. So I checked ahead of time that they had laundry on the facility which they did. We get there and first thing we do it load up the washing machine to wash all our sandy covered clothes. Dump in some laundry soap and then the washer doesn’t except coins. It’s full and needs to be emptied. Told front desk and then waited over 45 minutes for maintenance, who never showed. Now we have laundry soap covered sandy clothes. Go to our room to find insulation hanging from the ceiling tiles. Apparently there’s only one person who works at the hotel so I have to get a broom and clean up the mess. It’s getting late so I decide to microwave my kids something to eat when the entire room goes dark. Lights are on in the hall. Microwave blew a fuse in our room. So I go back to the front desk, for the third time in half a days stay. He tells me he will have to wait until he can step away from the desk to figure out the issue. We then sit in a dark hotel room for over an hour. Last straw- I take my kids to the pool. You can see dirt and grime and oil floating on top of the water. It’s repulsive. So when we leaving the pool area we walk out the door and into 2 inches deep of water just sitting in the hallway. Something’s flooding. I don’t know what not do I care. Packed up and left.
