A good place to stay

Posted 9-Apr-2014
Pros: Decor was nice and size of room good
Cons: Breakfast was rushed if you got there just before closing. They took food away while still eating.
Location: Easy access to seeing the civil war sights. At the civil war visitors center we took a private tour which was very educational for my grandsons & us
We enjoyed the hotel location and the size of room.

Great hotel, great staff, great location

I took an impromptu trip to Gettysburg with my two daughters (ages 2 and 10) and decided on the Comfort Suites for our overnight stay. I was VERY pleased with this hotel. We got there early (11:30) and I stopped in to see what time we could check in. The lady behind the desk was super friendly and said normally check-in wasn't until 4 but she would see if anything was available right then. She found a room that was ready and let us check in early. The room was spacious and very clean. The beds were super comfortable and I had a very restful nights sleep (which doesn't always happen in hotels). The location is VERY close to downtown. You could walk downtown, we chose to drive because it was raining and walking along the road with my two-year-old isn't always ideal :) But it was literally a minute drive to downtown. I was very happy with this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

Excellent stay, the hotel is close to both battlefield attractions, downtown and the National Cemetery. After a long day on the battlefield, we were delighted to be able to walk to an excellent restaurant right across the parking lot.

My family and I found the Comfort Suites to be very comfortable with nice size rooms. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Its location is also very good. It was in walking distance of downtown and its location made it a quick ride to shopping, restaurants and sightseeing.

Perfect location, great price!

Posted 19-Nov-2013
Pros: Price Location Included breakfast Friendly front desk staff
Cons: Pool should have a better description so guests know what to expect
Location: Great location Short walk to Jenny Wade house, Cemetery Hill, Gettysburg address and Soldier Cemetery Plenty of food and shopping very close
This hotel is just down from Cemetery Hill and right next to Evergreen and the soldier cemetery. Great location! Free parking. For the price it easily beat my expectations. The staff was very helpful and very nice. They let us check in a few hours early so we could get starting sight seeing. The breakfast buffet was pretty good and served the purpose. Waffles, cereal, pastries, "eggs", sausage, coffee and juice. There was plenty to eat to get our day started. It was nice to not have to go out and buy breakfast everyday. There are plenty of places within a short drive to eat, and there are places that deliver (Tommy's Pizza was very good). There is a outlet mall and grocery store within a quick 10 min drive. The indoor pool... it is pretty small and wasn't very warm, but we had it all to ourselves and my two kids enjoyed it. We really didn't go there for the pool so I wouldn't really consider this as a negative point. I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend this to anyone going to Gettysburg.
