“Great hotel”

It was really excellent and far above our expectations. It was really convenient for the station and city centre. The room included a kitchenette, which meant we could have drinks and snacks whenever we wanted. The breakfast was really good and the staff very friendly and helpful. We were even given a free bus permit, enabling us to use all city transport and return trip to the airport. Brilliant service - many thanks.

“Simple and neat on quiet street close to downtown”

Conveniently located close to main train station, on a street just off Rue de Laussane, this is a simple hotel with some design frills and basic service. Staff was attentive and rooms are OK. Good value for money.

“A sound hotel well located and run.”

The hotel is in a quiet street about 7 minutes walk from the station or one stop on the tram bound for The Nations followed by a 2 minute walk. It is clinically clean with simple funishings and low key staffing (someone at the counter) who are more efficient than friendly. The room (I had a double as all singles were taken when I booked) was of a decent size and met my needs. The bathroom was simple but functional and larger than other Geneva Hotels I have used. The TV did not have much in the way of English language though it was not a particular concern. Breakfast was good and the lady overseeing friendly - if too many guests come down at once you may need to eat with the tray on your lap on a soft seat but this did not quite happen to me. Few Geneva hotels offer breakfast included in the price and this was a bonus in my view. Plenty of places to eat within a short distance. Felt a little like a youth hostel (these is a backpacker place next door that might well have a common owner) but I found it professionally run and relatively inexpensive by Geneva standards if nowhere else. I was not in any way bothered by the supposed proximity to the red light area. It was very convenient to go to the UN quarter and several staff from different UN and associated agencies as well as visiting officials from Governments stay here making for some potentially interesting encounters. There is no staff presence overnight.

The hotel was nice, but it was in a sketchy neighborhood. Convenient to the train.
