Just plain Horrible

Posted 9-Dec-2014
Pros: NOT A THING
Cons: Get rid of the staff and start there...
Location: There is all kinds of stuff to do in the area
They claimed the wi-fi wasn't working, the indoor pool was closed, the room looked like it had cat fur all over the carpet and when we asked for a different room, we were told no. The staff, including management, appeared to have horrible hygiene and were very rude. There wasn't a single land line phone available for guests within the entire hotel. The tv in the room wasn't working. Need I say More? Stay away from this dump!

Not as pictures or described

Posted 9-Dec-2014
Very old, run down facility. In fairness, it appears that they are attempting to remodel, but I will not take a chance on this one again. No shower curtain in the bathroom. No linens at check-in. We were told they were in the laundry and would be brought later, which they were. It just doesn't speak well that there are not enough towels to supply rooms while others are being washed. The room had a very musty, old smell. The outdoor pool has no water, but tons of what appears to be construction trash inside. The indoor pool was very cloudy. We woke up at 6:00am to find that the door to our ground level balcony had either been opened from the outside or had come open on its own during the night. It was standing wide open giving free access to everyone on the street. I have honestly felt more secure and clean while staying in a "hotel" in the middle of a remote Kenyan village that has no paved roads and no access to safe drinking water.

NOT recommend

Carpets horribly stained in rooms and halls. Sheets did not look like had been changed or that they were clean. Broken knobs on TV and jet tub. No bed skirt could see a dirty stained mattress. Bed toppers were faded and stained. Room in general was dirty. Outside door to balcony was hard to shut yet you could see a large crack around door to the outside. the biggest issue is that it wasn't clean. And I don't mean a little bit. I mean Disgustingly dirty. We won't stay again and definitely will not recommend anyone stay here.

Hotel needs alot of work

Posted 3-Dec-2014
Pros: Price was cheap but got what I paid for. Room size was comfortable.
Cons: Cleanliness, and the entire hotel needs renovating.
Location: Plenty of stuff to do in the Pigeon Forge area, Food, arcades, putt putt, thrill rides, etc.
The room was a good size as it had two king beds, the staff was also friendly but only communicated with them at check in and checkout. The hotel itself was not that great. The hotel is just very old. The cleaning crew does not really do a great job of cleaning the room. It did not seem that the sheets were changed the entire week we stayed. Everything about the hotel needs updating to be up to todays modern standards. Carpet was old, bathroom old, tv was a tube tv, bed linens were old and tattered. There are also hotel buildings on the site that look to be old and deserted. I will not stay here again. I'd really like to see the hotel's health rating as I can't see how they could pass.

Loved the balcony looking at river! The motel is dated more than the pictures show but for the price I would stay again. Staff very friendly, good indoor pool, room was clean just outdated on looks and location is right before u go into Gatlinburg. We had a very nice stay.

Pros: The indoor pool and the jet tub. Also the complimentary pancake breakfast.
Cons: Have exterminator come by.
Location: Good location, close to Dollywood and Dixie Stampede.
The facilities were nice in general and had amenities, however, I had to kill several bees that came in through the heating system. There was also one cockroach. The complimentary breakfast at the pancake house was a plus.
