Close to some main attractions.

Posted 29-Oct-2014
Pros: Close to main attractions/price.
Cons: Cleaning of the room, When you ask for a wake up call you should get one. (I asked for one and did not get it)
Room was not as clean as I wanted but I am hard to please when it comes to clean. I always take my Lysol and cleaning wipes and I used them this time on all surfaces. The person over the cleaning staff need to teach them how to clean a room. We did not have hot water on fri/sat. The front desk personal were very polite. You get what you pay for and I did not have to pay a lot for the room..............................................................

Clean but smelled

Posted 27-Oct-2014
Pros: Employees were friendly and helpful
Cons: MAYBE KEEP THE PET FLOOR DIFFERENT FROM THE OTHER ROOMS AND UPDATE A LITTLE
Location: LOCATION IS THE BEST, RESTAURANT NEXT DOOR AND ACROSS THE STREET CONVENIENT TO SHOWS, SHOPPING AND HIKING (WHICH WE LIKE BEST). IT SUITED OUR PURPOSE
The room was clean, clean bathroom and clean sheets, clean floor. When we needed something at the desk they were quick to answer our request. I think we stayed in a pet room and we are not pet people, but since it was clean we just got some deodorizer stickups and we were fine. The hotel was old and needs some updates but for the price I couldn't complain. They did give us a balcony view over the creek and it was beautiful.

Smelled awful

Worst deal I've ever accepted on Expedia. Great price but it ended at that. Terrible appearance. Carpets were stained and nasty. The entire facility reeked of smoke. Beware...no non-smoking rooms available. We had to leave the balcony door open and fan on just to be able to breathe. Door to the patio looked liked it had been kicked multiple times. Beds were hard as rocks and pillows super thin. We were in the newest building. Older buildings were a complete eyesore as was the overall appearance of the entire lot.

Older, cheap hotel. Nice jacuzzi tub. May need a little better cleaning around edges of room and vent in bathroom. Otherwise, good experience.

Hesitant, but it was just for a night...

Pros: Good price, comfortable beds
Cons: More detail to cleaning (the little things matter). Perhaps the property owners could invest in some new bed linens and carpet for hallways and rooms
Location: The location is at the end of Pigeon Forge, entering into Gatlinburg. If you want to walk and do stuff in Pigeon Forge then look closer in town.
I had stayed in this hotel about 10 years ago when they first added "the Tower" and loved it. We had seen where the hotel had been for sale and sold within the past year and worried that the conditions had deteriorated vastly and those concerns were not really helped after reading most of the reviews. I made sure to book "the Tower" room with two king beds and the jetted tub over-looking the river. For the price, I could not pass it up since we were just staying one night. One thing that had changed was that they no longer had breakfast in the mornings (not too big a deal since we like eating out when we stay out of town). We were given a coupon for the pancake house across the street (3 free pancakes or $1 off a breakfast combo). The check-in was probably the easiest check-in ever! She had no problem finding my reservation and copied my id, ran my debit card, handed me my room keys and I was off! We stayed on the 1st floor and while the carpet in the hallway was dirty, it wasn't as bad as I feared. The worst part about our room was there was dead bugs on the window sill and one of the comforters had a hole (looked like a cigarette burn). The indoor pool liked nice, even tho we did not get in. The hotel was packed the night we stayed but we did not get woken up once. The beds were comfortable and thankfully the heater worked great. It wasn't the best, cleanest place but for one night (61.00 including tax) we could not pass it up and it wasn't that bad.

It was ok.

Bed linens are cheap and sheets don't stay on. Tv old and grainy picture. Great location and river sounds are amazing. Very economical. Take your own sheets and blankets and you'll probably be great

Always stay here!

The price, location and staff are always a huge plus here! We stay in this hotel evey time we are in the Smokies. Great location on the river. Room has two king beds and a jacuzzi and lots of space. Also an indoor pool. Staff is really friendly and we love it. For the price it can't be beat.
