Most horrible place stayed ever...Posted 1-Dec-2013
Pros: Location. It is right next to the river so if weather is nice and you can spend few minutes on the terrace, it is very beautiful and pleasant view.
Cons: everything except the location...
Location: there is a lot to do in this area... location is perfect but the hotel is terrible. so look for something next to it..
Hotel was more than 90 percent empty but the manager still gave me the room that had horrible smell in there and told me that is the only room left. Breakfast room had orange juice that was may be a month old. Carpet in the room was dirty, lamp shades are broken, bathroom was not cleaned properly either. On the side note, I believe this hotel is going through change of ownership where the new owner has not acquired the responsibilities yet, and the current owner does not wish to spend a dime in this hotel any more for any given reason.

Nightmare on the Parkway!!!Posted 22-Oct-2013
Pros: After sending building maintenance out again to check for empty rooms, they found one that was empty. When we got into this room, we had the most
Cons: insecure feeling about our bags. We only took in what we had to have. The room itself was in terrible shape, stunk from smoke and cleaning supplies.
Location: Now, two days later, I still have a headache from the smell. Unbelievable weekend, the worst hotel I have ever stayed in anywhere!!!
Red Flags stated popping up as soon as I walked into the Hotel Lobby to check in. The line was long on length and short on patience. The computer that was being used by the attendant was slow, the information concerning room availability was inaccurate and the attendant was sending the apparent building maintenance crew out to check rooms to see if anybody was in various rooms. One lady ahead of me in line needed her room changed because someone else was already in the room that had been issued to her. Another fella ahead of me needed to get new room keys because his did not work anymore( the reason for that was that the previously mentioned lady who needed her room changed, had been given keys to his room). Finally, it was my turn!! The attendant asked me if I had a reservation and I told him yes. He looked it up and said that Expedia had charged me the wrong rate but that he would honor it anyway. While I was in line he received a couple of phone calls from people checking on rooms and said they were only rooms in the tower available. The Tower is where we thought that we had made reservations.....the Tower rooms looked pretty nice......but he said he was going to give us a break and upgrade our room. He gave us a room directly across the Courtyard from the office on the 3rd floor. Lo and behold, when we got there and looked thru the window, someone else's luggage was on the bed. We went back to the office and informed the attendant of what we found.

Ya pays ya money and ya takes your chance!Posted 8-Sep-2013
Pros: Convenient and they fixed the bad stuff.
Cons: Plenty. See above. I think that they are struggling financially and that's why maintenance is spotty.
Location: Dollywood (she wasn't there......). Shades of the past rod run.
The "Old Bldg" is terrible; smelly, ratty. We got Expedia to move us into the newer Tower. Maintenance is obviously not a concern at this place. Even in the new room, blinds were broken, quilt had holes, no hot water the first night (2nd night was OK) no safety lock on the door and the clock didn't work. To their credit, I complained to the desk the next morning and by noon, everything was fixed (except for the holey quilt.

Great locationPosted 6-Aug-2013
Pros: Staff, location, price
Cons: Pool area
Location: The location was perfect for quite a few attractions. There were also Trolley stops close by but we did not use them.
The staff was very helpful. I was a little disappointed by the size of the bathroom, I almost had to step into the shower to be able to close the door. The room was spacious but the bed was very uncomfortable and made my back hurt. The outdoor pool area was not kept up, the pool itself is in need of a new paint job. We were very pleased to be so close to the attractions though. We were able to walk to our dinner at Dixie Stampede. Overall for the value it was good!

NeglectedPosted 29-Jul-2013 on Hotels.com
I was looking for a reasonably priced hotel room, which had Internet connections. When I arrived, no room had been assigned to my reservation, and it took a while for them to find a room ready for us. The furnishings had once been decent, but had not been maintained (one bedspread had a gash through it) I could not connect with the internet, despite the hotel being a "conference center", and the front desk just rang busy. We didn't bother with the Continental breakfast, it was Cheerios or Raisin Bran and Coffee. Overall a disappointing stay.

Location: Location was easier than some to get into since it was a the beginning of the strip of hotels and businesses.
Our room had no window.. We had to wait for towels to be washed and dried for our room to be restocked. Glad I had brought towels for the pool or we would have had to delay our plans for day, since the hotel didn/t have enough towels for us to shower.
