“Clean room, good service, outside needs work”

We spent 3 nights at the hotel with our two young sons. When we first pulled up, I was very skeptical, but we were tired, it was the 4th of July weekend, and we had already reserved rooms. The outside needed paint and looked run-down. We were pleasantly surprised because our room was very clean and spacious. The worst parts were the inside pool was too dirty to swim in, the outside pool was not as clean as we had hoped, and it took 2 days before anyone cleaned up a spilled drink (cup and all) on the ramp to our room. However, the service was excellent. We called room service for an iron and had one in less than 10 minutes. I was taking an online course and they were very helpful in assisting me with getting online, making me feel comfortable in the lobby, and allowing me to print materials. Would have been more convenient, though, if I had had access to the internet in the room. I would recommend this hotel for a cheap place to stay, especially if you don't plan to swim inside and you don't need access to the internet for any length of time. It's a great place to stay when you want to visit both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, as it is the last hotel before the 5 minute drive to Gatlinburg.
