Galway stay
The hotel is lovely, staff are courteous and food is lovely. A couple of observations - we booked dinner on two of the three nights we stayed - the set menu was the same on both nights, I thought there would of have been some variation on the menu. Also, we couldn't fault the service the 1st night, the 2nd night - I wouldn't call it bad service just a little inattentive/ hap-hazard. The major problem we had with our stay was the bed in the room - the mattress had seen better days and needs to be changed asap. There's a hollow on one side and the mattress dips - hard not to fall out of the bed at times! We were offered a change of room but we wouldn't have got a sea-view room which we had paid for.

Bed was very bumpy and dipped in places. Breakfast was horrible and not much too chose from. For the price of €15 per person for breakfast I would have expected it to be better

The hotel is lovely, but was very disappointed to be charged in their own car park for parking. I have been at various function there over the years and was never charged for parking as it is their own property. The rooms were lovely, clean, big room, lovely big bed , pillows were too soft but that is a personal choice

Great hotel in a lovely location. Room had a sea view, with a massive bed and all the little extras that a top hotel usually provides, coffee,tea and shampoos etc Staff were excellent, helpful and friendly. Breakfast was lovely and the BlackRock bar was a nice spot to relax in. Overall the hotel was excellent and I would definitely recommend

Stay was comfortable and staff were very friendly. I saw the bar was a little tatty behind the counter. The Fridge behind the bar counter the door was hanging off and the glass was broken on another one. Breakfast was sadly in the back room instead of the front room.

Stayed many times but hotel in need of investment , general internal appearance showing signs of old age. Location fantastic & staff always polite. Was a little bemused that our room still not cleaned even when it was gone 1500

Don’t stay in room 225 the smell in the room is discussing the radiator in the bathroom is on full and the contol knob is broken the beds are horrible the part were the headboards is attached Is on the front of the bed

Great stay again.
Lovely stay in the salthill hotel,very busy at check in but Peggy handled it very well what a lovely person so friendly and engaging,one point to note, not having access to pool and gym directly from hotel is something which should be seriously looked at expecting people to walk through basement at night to access this area is a no no.

I cannot fault this hotel at all, the place is impeccable and staff were outstanding. Very welcoming, from the front desk, restaurant staff, bar staff and breakfast staff, everyone we came across was so nice. Will definitely stay again.

Nice stay
I originally booked to stay 1night, but extended it to 2 nights. The staff were great from the young girl who checked me in, she was in training, to the girl who served me at lunch in the restaurant. The room clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Duvets on beds ‘noisy’ when moving/sleeping at night. Some Roof coving in room absent. Significant absence of plug sockets in room… eg: only sockets too far away from mirror/bed if using mirror etc. Breakfast service-v attentive although very squeaky and annoying toaster constantly through breakfast experience.

We were at a concert in Leisureland and we were able to walk there and back which was great especially as one of us has cancer and was not sure if she would make it through whole concert - having the hotel so close was comforting to her. P.S. we just booked tickets for another concert in leisureland Nov 16 2024 but when I went to book the hotel it said it’s booked out 🙁

Was incredibly convenient to our show at Leisureland. Room was comfortable and well equipped. Only issue was that service at the bar/restaurant is slow. Food was ok; ordered calamari and it was 5 rings, so not exactly generous. Breakfast was good and desk staff exacting. I’ll come back!
