I usually stay away from giving negative comments, but this one I can't ignore. The Valet and Bell staff (forgot his name) was amazing. The lady that checked us in was rude. No smiling. No empathy. All that aside, we sat by the pool and ordered food from inside. Our salad was full of hair. not appropriate for a resort like the Moody Garden.

This is our second time coming here and we LOVE it. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, makes you feel at home. The resort is beautiful and amenities are great! This has become our little getaway without having to leave Texas.

We stayed for the beginning of Spring Break. There were several tournaments in progress at the hotel. It’s always nice to stay with plenty to do, but it does get pricey. We are happy that we went. The weather didn’t cooperate much but Moody is always entertaining!

Staff was friendly. However, the kiosk for the moody gardens tickets wasn’t working and had to be reset which meant we missed the paddle boat ride and since it was a value pass, it could not be used the next day. The first room had a bad smell and so we had to switch rooms. The check. Process and getting tickets for the day pass took over an hour with these delays. The second room’s sink was not draining and was completely clogged which meant we had to switch rooms again at midnight after we had already settled in for the night. The rooms blackout drapes weren’t really blackout and there were a lot of noisy people in the hallways.

We took our 13 year old granddaughter and a friend. Everything was pretty basic. Spring break is not until next week in Galveston so some attractions are still closed. Hotel is in good location for food but quite a ways from the beach. Our bathtub had quite a bit of mold around it rooom 460.it would be nice to have a microwave in the room since there is a frig. Bed was very comfortable. Since it wasn’t spring break the beach was empty. Girls enjoyed the pools and the restaurant had reasonable choices. Not certain I would stay again since it is pricey and there are plenty of other properties.

Honestly was quite disappointed in our stay here, considering the price. Nothing was open, which i don’t think was advertised (the beach, the lazy river etc. even the pool bar). I assumed admission to the aquarium and rainforest would be free with the stay of the hotel considering how expensive the hotel was, but it wasn’t. You get a discount. Not a lot of food options considering most of it was closed. The rooms were fine, nothing special. The hotel staff were very friendly although we were surprised they never told us about the trolley service that runs by the hotel. We had to figure it out ourselves even when we specifically asked about getting around. There’s no where to eat around, so you’ll need to go to the Seawall for more food options. It’s kind of in the middle of no where. And the whole place looks outdated / 90s ish. Probably wouldn’t recommend staying here if everything isn’t open. You he better off staying by the seawall and taking the trolley to the aquarium

Checkin was quick and easy. The lobby area is very well kept however the outdoor games , and hotel rooms are in need of An update. The restaurant staff are not very friendly or upbeat but food was good.

We had a problem checking in we had paid for two days in advance. We got stuck on plane due to Snow so we didn’t arrive to the motel till the next day they canceled our reservation because she said we should’ve called well. We couldn’t we spent seven hours in the plane on the tarmac she said since we didn’t call by midnight they canceled both nights reservations, which were prepaid, then they had to rebook us new rooms and tried to charge us even more money the staff person was very unprofessional. We were tried it was 6 o’clock in the morning of the next day. we had already lost money due to getting stuck on a plane for 7 1/2 hrs for our room because we lost out on Friday. We had not had nothing to eat . We had to argue with the woman at the desk, who really didn’t even care. In total three different rooms were booked for family and had been prepaid. We were staying there for two nights before we left on our cruise but will definitely never stay there again. We enjoyed the café downstairs for the one meal we ate. The rainforest was nice. The pizza place was horrible. The motel was very pretty and nice but the service was absolutely a joke. Also the ice machine and the Coke machine on our floor didn’t even work.

Bathroom tub is molded- carpet is torn and has holes - furniture is stained. For the price - I expected better. And breakfast isn’t included- overall it’s meh.
