The hotel was absolutely beautiful. Our room was well appointed and the bathroom was almost spa-like. It was a great location to walk across the street straight to the beach and then down the road to plenty of shopping and dining options. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to anyone visiting Galveston.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Grand Galvez. The hotel is impeccable. I love the original vintage architecture, it's welcoming wit a rich history. The staff is plesant, professional and very helpful. My room was very clean with clean linen and a very nice bed. The staff goes above and beyond to make make me feel welcomed and at home Highly reccomended if you're visiting Galveston .

For being a high end hotel the room was not put together well. Understood that it is an “older” property, but little things like the towels not being straight and the fridge not fitting in the area for it make the difference when staying.

The renovations are finally complete! We stayed a few times while everything was in process and this trip got the see the final results. The room is much more upscale and the bathroom has been nicely updated. Really like the downstairs bar, coffee bar and little hotel shop. Love the beautiful carpet and fabric on the walls! The original woodwork is stunning. Looking forward to our next trip back.

Beautiful property rich with history. Easy access to the seawall for strolling. Short walk to Pleasure Pier if you’re traveling with children or for those looking for a fun date night to be kids again.

We stayed here for Galveston Mardi Gras weekend. The hotel interior is amazing after remodel. And our room was great. However, the staff was a disappointment. In general, they seemed understaffed and undertrained. Checkin was a mess and disorganized, the valet and bellhop situation was chaos, and even the waiters were not very kind or attentive. Maybe it was a hectic weekend, but was pretty much across the board and lessened the experience.

My husband and I stayed here for 1 night for our anniversary. The bar is a fantastic place to hang out and get a drink. Rooms are clean and quiet. Will definitely be back!

Loved our stay except the spa price online was significantly lower than the amount that showed up on my bill. Not a good feeling. You should correct your online pricing.
