“Christmas at the Hotel Galvez”
The hotel was beautifully decorated for the holidays, and the Christmas brunch was excellent! Our only problem was that we ate too much, but we really can't blame the hotel for that.
“Love this hotel!”
Nice hotel and the staff were superb! The pool and location was awesome. Will definitely come back!
“Elegance on the Beach”
Nice historical hotel with modern conveniences. Enjoyed location. Elegantly decorated for Christmas. I will stay there again when I visit.
“Overall good job”
Overall a good expernence, except for the fact that when we asked for a differenct room due to its small size the person behind the desk gave us room 501 which is the room that a women had previously hung herself and is rumored to be haunted. We did not know about this at the time but when we found out asked for another room. The hotel granted our request in a very pleasing manner.
“Awesome histrical hotel !”
Awesome hotel with a Galveston history. Classy and comfortable. My favorite hotel in Galveston.
“back on summer”
we love it . we feel comfortable, the facilities are very beautifull , . all staff are very friendly and helpful , me and my wife , back on summer time
“Historic Galveston.”
Galveston is in the hunt for righteousness. Her people are kind and loving, open to the aid of others, apt to help. She is my hometown. So far, with all of our warts, we are still the greatest nation on God’s green earth, and I shall defend her and her institutions to my dying day. Had it not been for America, her God, and her constitution, we would all be dead or speaking some foreign tongue. God bless America, Please!
“simple style”
A weekend here in early spring is simple delight. Of the first floor, the soft light, that light after the short days of winter and befor the harsh light of summer, filters in from both the north and south. The first floor has very high ceilings; it is open from exterior wall to exterior wall, the old 19th century style windows have arched brows, all this allows sunlight to flow back and forth through the room. This is exquisite respite from the seawall and the hurly burly of the beach. If style has a particular manifestation, this is it.
“Restful vacation”
Had a wonderful time and didn't want to get out of bed and the kids had a great time at the pool.
“Fantastic place to stay for Christmas Holiday”
We attended the Christmas buffet. It was delightful.
