No hot water. Loud sand blast building all stayPosted 3-Mar-2014
Pros: indoor pool. could walk to eat and entertainment
Cons: Do major maintenance on weekdays. No on weekends or major event weekends.
Location: can walk to eat and entertainment
No hot water. Were using power tools, out side room all weekend. Power washing, loud air tools, grinding, painting. Could not enjoy reading on balcony. Loud music in lobby. Other wise. Beds comfortable, roomy. Close to places to eat and entertainment.

Nice Location and CleanPosted 25-Feb-2014
Pros: Clean, nice location, Staff friendly.
Cons: Construction lift in parking area at the time we were there made parking a little hectic. I'm sure it's not there normally.
Location: Pleasure Pier, Strand, Moody Gardens, Beach, Restaurants
A nice place to stay during Madi Gra. We had a clean spacious room located near town. We were within walking distance of Pleasure Pier and many other Restaurants. We had a great view from our room of the Gulf. The Staff was very accommodating and nice.

Overnight stayPosted 24-Feb-2014
Pros: nice but under constuction at this time
Cons: PARKING!!! not enough parking, you can't park on the street in fear of getting towed..
The hotel was under construction and early Saturday morning they were out working and the constent beeping (like someone was backing up) noise was annoying when you are trying to sleep. We were on the south side of the hotel and there is a bar across the street and you could hear the music like you were standing outside. The hotel is nice but they need to insulate better and not start work until at least 8am on Sat & Sun.

Much Better Than Expected!Posted 19-Feb-2014
Pros: The price was one of the lowest available, but the hotel was much more than we expected for the price.
Cons: Only complaint would be that the left side of the bldg has views of the next-door roof, but still has a view of the water as well.
Location: Pleasure Pier. I highly recommend it. Seems there are always deals available for a reduced pay one price admission. Good food at Nick's down the road.
This hotel has recently been updated. It is squeaky clean, and the indoor pool and hot tub were fabulous. The free breakfast included fresh fruit and yogurt, eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, toast, muffins, cereals, juices, etc. Coffee and tea always available in the lobby 24/7. Right across from the beach and Pleasure Pier with a balcony and many restaurants within walking distance. Staff was very pleasant. Definitely recommend.

Great Place Right Near the BeachPosted 15-Feb-2014
Pros: Location and cleanliness.
Cons: The light on the balcony outside shined in our window all night. Wish we had black-out curtains or could have turned the light out!
Location: We saw so many things to do but couldn't do them in our 24hr stay. Will be back to go to Pleasure Pier, swim at the beach, go to Moody Gardens!
We stayed overnight here when we were in town to do a college visit with our daughter (TX A&M at Galveston). The hotel was delightfully clean, the breakfast was a myriad of choices, and the room was comfortable and quiet. It is located right across the street from the beach, so we plan to come back in warmer months to take advantage of the beach activities. The staff were pleasantly friendly and made us feel welcome. Even the person taking care of the breakfast area (cleaning it throughout the breakfast hours, replenishing food, etc.) was great!

Average hotel in great locationPosted 14-Feb-2014
Pros: Location, Location, Location
Cons: Sound proofing and add some cut up fruit to breakfast
Location: The beach is across the street. We walked to the north side of the island and toured the historic area and the tree carvings. The walk along the seawa
The hotel location is excellent for walkers and beach goers. The front desk staff were very accommodating and helpful. Parking was ample. The room was comfortable but noisy. The walls are thin and you can hear moderate voices through them. The breakfast was OK but standard compared to the country inn in Corpus Christi. Lots of restaurants nearby.

Clean and comfortablePosted 13-Feb-2014
Pros: Free wifi, clean, friendly staff, large bathroom
Cons: weird stains on carpet
Location: Galveston, TX. Tons of places to eat and history to go see. Of course, the ocean is always available just for walking on the beach or swimming.
This was a great place to stay because it was well kept and clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. My balcony was perpendicular to the beach instead of facing the beach, so it was a partial view of the ocean. There were a few stains on the carpet but it looked clean and it did not bother me.

We'll be back!Posted 7-Feb-2014
Pros: Close to seawall. Beautiful view. Full breakfast. Free parking during cruise and shuttle service to the terminal.
Check-in was fast. Room was clean with beautiful furniture and linens. Private balcony with a view of Pleasure Pier just a block away. Location was perfect for strolling on the seawall.

Great stayPosted 3-Feb-2014
Pros: Most everything
Cons: Unfair to expect any more for the room rate charged
Location: Quite convenient to beach and other Galveston attractions
One of the best overall lodging experiences of my life. Hotel was conveniently located to beaches and attractions and the quality of room accommodations and staff responsiveness was better than hotels I've paid twice as much for to stay. The next time I travel to Galveston, I will check for available rooms at Country Inns and Suites first. Brian Kunkel Fort Worth, TX.
