“Country Suites Hotel - Glaveston texas”

We stayed one night prior to our cruise. The hotel was clean, fresh & new. it was convenient to The Spot for a great hamburger supper and walking distance to Pleasure Pier. $7.00 per person for a shuttle to the ship and they let us book our own time.

“nice hotel, but not so great location”

The hotel in a very good condition. breakfast was quite adequate. The indoor pool is heated but rather small. fitness centre decently equiped. Both the pool and the fitness center were open till 10.000 or 11.00 p.m. Nice. The hotel is on seawall but rather far from Strand and other hotels on the Seawall.

“Better places to stay.”

Disappointed in hotel. The location was great and the rooms. Breakfast mediocre. What was disappointing was the staff and their lack of knowledge about the area, public transit, and total apathy. You really need a car if you stay here as we spent most of our second day wandering around Galveston trying to get a taxi. I wouldn't choose this hotel again but only because of the above.
