A Wonderful Getaway Weekend
We arrived on Thursday to The Hangout and had a wonderful 3.5 days enjoying Galena. Communication from the host was excellent - the information shared was communicated concisely and really enhanced our stay, the digital guidebook was great. Special call out for the Host keeping an eye on some inclement weather and making sure we knew where to take cover if necessary (thankfully we did not need to)! The property was in great condition - clean, well furnished, and fun for all ages. We enjoyed swimming at the Owner’s Club, playing pool, using the hot tub, along with enjoying the tvs in the basement after our kids had gone to bed for the night. Downtown Galena is a short drive away and has something for everyone to enjoy. We will certainly be back - an easy 5/5 stars for The Hangout!

The house seemed like it had not been cleaned after the last stay. My personal bed sheets had a big stain. The floor had spill marks all over. There was hair all over. The floors did not seem like they had been swept. The counter tops downstairs were very dusty and sticky.

The bar counters in the basement are custom made, and due to the type of wax coating, it can feel sticky, even when it's clean. We do work really hard at providing a 5 star experience for all of our guests, and we do sincerely aologize for the inconvenience this caused during your stay. Cleqn , spacious, great attention to detail!
We had 8 people staying. There was plenty of room. The house was immaculate, plenty of kitchen options, hot tub was awesome and Jess was awesome to work with. Communication through the whole process was amazing. Definately will be back to stay when we are in area again!! Exceeded our expectations!

Everyone loved this property and the amenities available to it was incredible. It was very scenic with a close proximity to Chestnut Mountain. We are so thankful to the hosts for going above and beyond to make our weekend perfect!

Hideout Family Weekend
Jess, the property manager was great to deal with as we had booked this very last minute. We decided to meet up and have a family Christmas, as our mother passed away earlier this year and she liked the holidays, especially Christmas. Baking and cooking were just a small part or her legacy. Check-in was seamless, the property is very much what is advertised spacious enough for our family of 9, two couples and 5 kids ages from 11-22. Outfitted with all you could need, almost like home. We were able to relax, visit and celebrate the reason for our get together. We will definitely try to do this again and this property will be on our first look list.

Beautiful House Near Galena
I organized a retreat with a few girlfriends and could not have hosen a better place to stay! The house is beautiful, clean and comfortable. The host was very communicative and sent information on the area in advance so that we could take advantage of all the things to do in the area. The kitchen was well appointed and although we ate out most of the time, it would have had everything needed to prepare meals for a crowd. The beds were all comfortable and exactly as pictured. The jacuzzi was clean and heated to a perfect temperature. I would absolutely stay here again!

Great location
It was definitely a perfect size for 7 of us. Amazing/calming view off the back deck. (The showerheads were a little lack-luster but they did the job). It was a very comfortable home with all the amenities that we needed. Wonderful that we were able to bring our standard poodle. GREAT walking trails all around. My only negative was how dark it was when we arrived. With no lights on, guests must be made aware of the parking. Perhaps installing time switches on the front light or going further with 'smart home' technology which can be controlled by smart phones.

We love that you were able to enjoy the wonderful fall weather, the walking trails & the location of our home. We work really hard to stock the home with items that our guests would want & need, to help make it less stressful for you. Thank you again for the feedback on the dark driveway. Unfortunately, our HOA is incredibly strict with exterior lights. The Galena Territory takes on the 'dark sky community' approach so residents & guests can enjoy the night sky. We have been working with the HOA to provide us with some options for our guests, and the majority of smart light options do not meet their requirements. We are still working on finding an option that does not result in us being fined. While we do feel our driveway can park several cars comfortably, we will continue to communicate with our guests to let them know what to expect ahead of their trip. Thank you for being great guests! The Hangout
The Hangout was a great place to celebrate some birthdays in Galena. The property was accurate as described in the description, it was clean and check-in was a breeze. I would definitely recommend this property.

Perfect Hangout for Office Staff Get Away
This property worked out perfect for our event. The house was beautiful, new and well appointed. Had everything we needed. Great location, great outdoor space for games and chilling around the fire pit. Great TV set up for those that had to watch the Football games. Would go back anytime. Owners were easy to deal with.

Fun family hangout!
The Hangout was perfect for our extended family weekend getaway. Grandparents, parents, and the little kids (4-10) had a great time with plenty of room for our group of 10. With a nice big dinner table everyone had a seat for meals. The outdoor area is nice with plenty of spots by the firepit. A ton of TVs, a pool table, and a cornhole set for outside. Not to mention access to the Galena Territory Owners Club is included, which had a pool, arcade, and other amenities the kids loved. Owners made everything super easy. Would definitely come back.

Great house for a large family !
We’ve been going to Galena for 40 years but we’ve never been to the Galena Territory. What a wonderful place. The owner’s club was fabulous with 2 great pools and so much to do. The house was perfect! Space for our entire family and everything you need. We will definitely be back.

Well furnished home with beautiful scenery
We stayed for a week for extended family gathering. The house was great!!! Clean, well supplied & furnished. Fished and rented a pontoon boat on Eagle Ridge Lake. Enjoyed the nearby zip lining! Explored the Mounds and Main Street Galena. Great place to vacation!

Amazing place for a group getaway!
Our stay was absolutely amazing. We made plenty of use of the pool table, the plethora of TVs, the hot tub, the beautiful yard, and the outdoor fire pit. They had all sorts of amenities for cooking meals (from a nice gas grill to a pizza cooker!) that made us feel right at home. The rooms are nice and big with plenty of well stocked bathrooms around the house. Jess also sent so many great communications that we had essentially zero questions about our stay. Check-in was flawless and everything about our stay was great! We will definitely be back.

We enjoyed our trip and are thankful that we found The Hangout! The house location was perfect, with lots of space in the yard and it was close to the Owner’s Club (which we accessed for the pool). Family Friendly Spring Break Vacation
My family and I enjoyed our stay at The Hangout. Jess was a wonderful host, responding promptly to all of my questions as we prepared for our trip. We had a total of 11 guests, including two toddlers, a preschooler, a teenager, and seven adults. The accommodations met everyone's needs! :) There was also inclemate weather forecasted during our stay and Jess proactively reached out to me with additional information about the property and where we could take cover if the weather worsened. She really went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and safe. We had a great vacation in Galena and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Hangout. I'm sure you will too! :)

Fun hangout for fam!
We really enjoyed our stay at The Hangout! It was conveniently located between Chestnut Mountain and Galena and gave us plenty of options! Our kids loved the games, hot tub window, community pool, and downstairs space. We loved the ease of check in/check out, the bedroom options, and the cleanliness and communication of the host. Nice place to stay with good amenities if you’d like to be situated neatly between the town and the ski resort.
